Tony Moon’s Twitter account was likely going off the rails yesterday. Everyone who remembers the 1992 LA riots and the ‘Rooftop Koreans’ was either mentioning him or making references, leading to others tagging him in their threads. Moon is one of the original rooftop Koreans who grabbed their guns and took defensive positions atop their businesses as hordes of rioters descended upon them. It’s a classic American tale: invoking one’s Second Amendment rights to defend themselves and their property when law and order are absent, and the police cannot be relied on amid the chaos.
...
The Rodney King fiasco and the fatal shooting of Latasha Harlins at a Korean-American-run convenience store sparked those riots, which led to the deployment of the National Guard, U.S. Army, and Marines to quell the riots. At least 60 people were killed in the mayhem, which totaled $1 billion in damages. Moon mostly played along with these call to arms:
...
Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a series of raids in Los Angeles this week, which led to an uproar among the left-wing clowns who have assaulted cops, attacked federal agents, and stormed Department of Homeland Security facilities. It was bad on Friday and even worse on Saturday. The National Guard has been deployed.
President Trump isn't going to allow lawlessness to reign in America. We will not have a repeat of 2020's "Summer of Love."
Go get them Hong Gil Dong!!!!!
You stay out brackie!
Arrest Bass! New erection needed!
Need Long Duk Dong.
Hooray for the Rooftop Koreans.
Show the world how it should be done.
And the crying shame is that they’re going to have to show AMERICANS how to do it right.
May this motivate patriotic American citizens to take a stand to protect their lives and property and livelihoods.
Bass? Erection? Ewwwwww
The rooftop Koreans were such an inspiration at that time of chaos. But I wonder, did they actually shoot anyone?
Don’t mess with Koreans. They’re an angry people.
When government fails to protect the People and the rights endowed them by their Creator, the People have a right endowed by their Creator to protect themselves, and fortunately the Founders of the USA were wise enough to protect this right in the very foundation of US law

Not that I remember. The display was enough - the rioters turned around and left.
I was so hoping yesterday that these violent rioters would find their way into Koreatown, which isn’t that far away.
I’m sure the rooftop Koreans are ready for them.
Rioters/Antifa types are generally cowards. Just like when the husband/wife in Saint Louis stood out in front of their house armed with weapons the MOB decided to pass them by and go riot somewhere else.
So, the threat of standing up to bullies is typically all you need to do.
I would love to find a rooftop Korean T-shirt from back in the day.
Get your own t-shirt made by a private t-shirt business.
I probably will. Good idea, thanks.
Sounds like Tony Moon & his crew were ready to take the bull by the horns. Good for them as they were just protecting their business.
