Elon Musk undertook the DOGE project in good faith, assuming that it would lead to a change in the spending mindset that afflicts DC at all levels. Now that’s its becoming clear that DOGE’s work was not being taken seriously (basically used as a PR stunt) its no wonder that Musk is feeling used.
He NEVER knows when to shut up! Musk is gone now. What an incredible resource to trash and discard. No Musk, no second term.
Just like RFK Jr .. Trump does NOT agree with the things he stands for.

Simply freeing up Twitter from the Deep State was as great a public service to the Republic as any member of the legislative branch has ever done especially the ones who have held office for decades.
But Musk had a limited shelf life working “inside the tent” or working inside any tent for that matter.
His criticism is well taken and much needed.
I will repeat, he is urinating on the tent while outside the tent unlike those Kentucky low lifes like Paul and Massie who keep urinating on the tent from the inside.
I never trusted musk , and PT is better off away from him. Musk is a sly globalist who wants more it foroeiners to come into America.
Not at all, it is an honest response, and Musk most likely is upset that it hinders EVs. It's not TDS by Musk, but rather he probably feels betrayed by Trump. But Musk must learn that Trump's goal is not to enrich Musk, but the citizens & the nation. It meeting just concluded it's public portion, and if I have any advice for Trump it is to stop referring to the price of eggs, and talk about other things, like lowering the costs of medications, increasing the amount of energy which has lowered prices, bringing in trillions that can be used to create income generators for the nation & citizens to let the people know how he is fighting for them that have a far bigger impact than his lowering of the price of eggs which is rapidly becoming not only insignificant but unimportant. He also needs to counter the narrative being formulated by a small cabal in the Senate who are wrongly representing or omitting the possibilities that the BBB (Big Beautiful Bill) really offers. The true conservatives have offered up cuts that are clearly not benefitting this nation, and they rejected all of those cuts. Thus, they are not concerned in anything but how to hamper Trump. They only care about their petty little victories, than they do about this nation or the people.
As you noted, China means us nothing but harm. So why did Trump say what he did?
Here’s the best spin I can put on that: Trump is deliberately muddying the waters to keep the ChiComs guessing.
The downside to such a strategy is that it bigly confuses his supporters.
Musk was Tweeting about the national debt bankrupting our country before he became a member of the Trump team. I believe that’s still his focus.
