PRYLUKY, Ukraine (AP) – At least five people, including a 1-year-old child, his mother and grandmother, were killed Thursday in a nighttime Russian drone attack on the northern Ukrainian city of Pryluky, officials said.

Six drones hit a residential area in the city shortly before dawn, injuring nine others, according to authorities. The child killed was the grandson of the local fire chief, Ukraine´s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said.

The fire chief, identified by local officials as 50-year-old Oleksandr Lebid, “arrived to respond to the aftermath right at his own home,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a post on Telegram. “It turned out that a Shahed drone hit his house.”

No. Putin is unwilling to STOP invading Ukraine, annexing its land, and killing its civilians nightly.

War is hell. How many children did we kill in Berlin, Tokyo, and, of course, Hiroshima?

I’ve never taken sides in this one, partly because I understand the history of the area. But it is very sad for the people that live there, as it was for the people of London, Berlin and Tokyo.

Maybe expanding NATO to surround Russia and amassing troops and weapons on the Ukraine border wasn’t such a great idea after all.

Russia nightly terror bombing of Ukrainian civilians

Fire burns through a destroyed home attacked during the Russian strike that killed five on June 5, 2025.

This attack in Pryluky is a consequence of the drone attacks at Russian air bases.

No wonder peace talks fail after one hour. Zelensky has no desire for peace and his people suffer as a result.

Wake up and realize this is what happens in war.

The war groupies don't care about what Ukraine does to Russia.

Sure, because Russians didn't conduct nightly drone and missile attacks on the civilian population before that? Okay

The war groupies don't care about what Ukraine does to Russia.

Yes, because first of all there is the concept of self-defense.

Secondly, Ukraine targeted military airplanes that launched nightly missile attacks on Ukraines cities. Russia is targeting civilians.

Wouldn’t it be more accurate to ask ‘how many were killed in the recent air force base drone strikes’?

Air force bases are legitimate targets in war. Apartment buildings in either Moscow or Kiev are not.

Is this the much vaunted reply by Putin for eviscerating 40% of his broken down strategic airforce assets? But it it is on par with his response when the Moskva was sunk. Or the bridge.

So Ukraine takes out a big swath of strategic assets with no civilian casualties and Putin bombs an apartment building. Terrorizing a civilian population can have strategic value but the Ukies seem to be strengthening their resolve not lessening.

Aren’t their easier place to steal grain, electric, children, and other booty for the Rus Viking?

Ukraine has been the source of multiple invasions of Europe, and Ukraine is surrounded. The last piece is Ukraine.

You're so cute in your little cheerleader outfit jumping up and down and waving pom-poms for your home team in the wargame that ain't a game.

Russian civilians are regularly killed by Ukrainian strikes and shelling too but that doesn’t get reported by Western press.

Waiting for Vlad’s response for the Ukies attacking Russia’s nuclear bombers.

I myself would give Kiev five days to evacuate, them level it with his non nuclear Oreshniks….you can only poke a bear so many times.

The killing will only end when both sides get tired of killing.

Right now, Ukraine pumped full of EU & US money won’t stop and Russia is OK to play along.
