A Native American Church affiliate in Southern California says a sheriff’s department seized and destroyed “thousands” of psychoactive plants revered as sacred, interfering with members’ religious practices.

Cannabis is not native to North America but was brought here by the evil colonizers.
Everything is “sacred” to these low-lifes.
Meanwhile everyone else’s drugs get comfiscated and graveyards get bulldozed while these cry-bullies sue.
Fk them on stick.
I figured it was marijuana when I read the headline. Native-American inmates doing time in NY State prisons, back in the 80’s were trying to get approval to use marijuana during their religious ceremonies too. I retired in 2003, and up to then, the State never allowed it. I tried to do a search to find if the policy has been changed since then, but nothing related to that specific issue came up.
Were the plants on Indian reservation land?
If not, I don’t see the connection. There are Federal laws even reservations must follow, too.
The sacbee is just a silly little rag infested with delusion
Anyone else beginning to get NATIVE AMERICAN SACRED PLACE fatigue yet? /s
The Native United States people?
If any group is the opposite of “Native American” it would be indians, I think the people of 1776 would have something to say if they learned about their place in modern American language.
You mean all of that dancing around, war chants, painting their faces and screaming, like in the movies, is because of cannabis? ROFL
It’s not a real church. It was just created out of thin air so they could sue to use peyote.
More political warfare - the only ‘resistance’ that native groups find to be successful.
“Sacraments”, “burial sites”, “repatriation” - all are just ploys to stick it to the whitey invaders.
Reminds me of a fellow I met in the military - he fled his reservation and enlisted to go to Vietnam. Felt it was safer than staying on the res - rightfully so, as all the guys his age that did stay died before the age of 25 from violence and/or drugs.
My dear friend was refused a religious exemption when she objected to the Covid Vax as a condition of keeping her job. She appealed and lost.
Took the first shot and the skin on her hands and arms peeled off - she was wrapped up like a mummy and said the pain was almost unbearable. She knew it was from the shot and refused the next two. She ended up losing her job - finally the religious exemption was accepted but by then she was so angry that she never went back.
So I guess if I started a “Church of the Sacred AR15 and its 222 ammo” would I get a bunch of followers?
You would get a much larger following if you went to 223
Crystal Methodists.
