June 1, 2025, was Tulsa's first Race Massacre Observance Day. Dedicated to remembering those who died in the tragedy more than 100 years ago. On June 1, Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols announced a $105 million trust to fund the growth and recovery of Greenwood.

It was nothing but pride from Raittia Rogers as she learned about Tulsa's Race Massacre Observance Day.

"At the same time, we can't do anything but rebuild," said Rogers.

Mayor Nichols announced the dedication in March. It was part of his plan to help Greenwood recover.

Nichols announced trust at the Greenwood Cultural Center. It would include funds for homeownership programs and the establishment of affordable housing. Heather Nash said she was all for it.

KEYWORDS:
Tulsa's first black mayor and he talks and acts (and looks) an awful lot like Chicago's mayor. And for a city like Tulsa to drop >$100 million into a project like this is huge.

First off, the event was a race riot. Started by blacks. It was called "The Tulsa Race Riot" until a few years ago when liberals wanted to resurrect a black sympathy cause.

But seriously, they're still whining about something that nobody today remembers. Because they weren't even born.

Gotta keep the narrative alive, I guess.

They were recently paying thousands of dollars to have people move to Tulsa—just so they could tax them for things like this.

Absolute insanity.

The news propaganda article doesn't mention where the $105 million is going to come from.

More likely, much will come from the Tulsa taxpayers, including the people now living in the Greenwood area.

And it remains to be seen how the funds will be used toactually improve the living standards of those who are living in the Greenwood area a century after the massacre. If housing were to be improved, it's probable the rents will go up accordingly. The people living there will need to have jobs that earn better wages. But that will require companies that can afford to pay the higher wages. It's the "chicken or the egg" dilemma.

If you hip check a hockey player into the boards hard, he hits the ice, gets up and keeps playing with the same intensity. If you knock a brick down he lays on the ground and complians about the unfairness of the system and blames everyone for his inability to get back on his feet and keep moving.

And if it was his great grandfather that got knocked down, a brick will still be on the ground. Only getting up to smoke dope, make rap videos and screw every woman he can.

black fatigue.

I will help anyone willing to work. It's attitude that leads to ability.

No taxpayer funds were used for that purpose. That was the Kaiser Foundation paying to recruit remote workers so they could fill their co-working space called 36 Degrees North.

Ah, so are the new taxpayers forced into paying for this $100 million fund for a wrong a hundred years ago?

Democrats created the environment that caused the massacre with their anti-black racial politics in the early 1900s. Democrats perpetuated the poverty with their ineffective inner-city Socialism over the course of the next 100 years. Now a Democrat is pledging money to help with a recovery. There is one constant factor in Greenwood’s misery, and it isn’t lack of money.

All taxes are extracted by force, no matter the stated purpose. In this particular case, my eyes tell me the Greenwood area has generally recovered through various private investment/development projects, not public dollars. I believe a special taxing district was created to fund the infrastructure upgrades that allowed the private investments to proceed.

As to the new mayor, I once worked in the same organization and was generally unimpressed with his work skills. I will say he was certainly capable at benefiting from playing the game of using his race to every possible advantage. The organization was complicit in this for a long time before Nichols & remains so today.

That’s correct. First, a black guy tried to rape a white woman in a nearly empty department store elevator, which resulted in the man’s arrest. Second, a group of black WWI veterans armed with guns went to the jail and shot white men who were protecting the defendant. So, yes, the blacks started the “massacre” by killing non-threatening whites. And this whole “black Wall Street” is a bunch of bullshit. Yes, Greenwood wasn’t the projects, but it wasn’t some center of wealth, either.
