Earlier this year, as President Donald Trump was beginning to reshape the American government, Michael, an emergency room doctor who was born, raised, and trained in the United States, packed up his family and left the country.
Michael now works in a small-town hospital in Canada….He said he feels some guilt that he did not stay to resist the Trump agenda but is assured in his decision to leave. Too much of America has simply grown too comfortable with violence and cruelty, he said.
"Part of being a physician is being kind to people who are in their weakest place," Michael said. "And I feel like our country is devolving to really step on people who are weak and vulnerable."

The Medical Council of Canada said in an email statement that the number of American doctors creating accounts on physiciansapply.ca, which is "typically the first step" to being licensed in Canada, has increased more than 750% over the past seven months compared with the same time period last year — from 71 applicants to 615. Separately, medical licensing organizations in Canada's most populous provinces reported a rise in Americans either applying for or receiving Canadian licenses, with at least some doctors disclosing they were moving specifically because of Trump.
"The doctors that we are talking to are embarrassed to say they're Americans," said John Philpott, CEO of CanAm Physician Recruiting, which recruits doctors into Canada. "They state that right out of the gate: 'I have to leave this country. It is not what it used to be.'"

I’m guessing these docs were hauling in some coin in the gender affirming insanity, which is, thankfully, coming to an end in America. Canada is still stuck on stupid and they’ll be able to dabble in it for awhile up here.
Maybe if enough of them move to Canada the emergency treatment wait time therewill drop by a week or so to eight months

How do those doctors feel about how the veterans’ services were delayed, contributing to a rise in suicides?

Second, I live in the Soviet of Washington not far from the US/Canadian border. I worked in both US border towns and in British Columbia. The number of Canadians who seek medical treatment in the USA because the wait is too long in Canada to get the “free-but restricted” healthcare is huge. When I worked in British Columbia, I knew a guy who arranged medical tourism for Canadians to get health care in the Philippines and in Thailand.
The doctor interviewed does not understand the strict government rationing of medical services practiced in Canada. Eventually, he will learn.
Speaking of which in some circles Canada is not allowing euthanasia of children as young as 12 based on their request even if their parents object. Canada is not a civilized country where a “caring” doctor would want to practice.
And how many are applying to move in the opposite direction? How many Canadian physicians are asking to come to America?
My guess is that there is a net influx.

If they would tune their AM radios to 800, CJAD, they would get an ear full of Canadians complaining about their "free" health care system.
In the 1960s and 1970s CJAD used to be a neutral station politically, now it is hard leftist extremist, the only English language talk radio station in Montreal.
