Foreign aid and NPR/CPB on the chopping block.
I have not seen the bill yet, but I’m just passing on what they told me.
Personally I want to pass DOGE cuts every single week until the bloated out of control government is reigned back in.
As a country, we cannot survive our national debt and honestly, we may be past the point of return. We should be aggressively attacking our debt and aggressively, cutting all waste fraud, and abuse and unnecessary programs.
Our future literally is in peril.

And she believed them?..................
She’s obviously hedging her bets on it.
“I wonder who “they” are?”
Oh, come on. You now. It’s TPTB.
They should all be in there.
This is exactly why I respect her & believe her too. Jim Jordan is rapidly becoming a major disappointment the longer he remains.
Sigh, "reined." People need to be watching more old Westerns... yeah, that'll fix it.
Such cuts must go through next FY budget - which requires 60 votes in the Senate. Unless Trump is ready to impound funds and wait for the inevitable court challenges, this is only a negotiating point for the FY26 budget and, when that fails to pass, a talking point for next year’s elections.
The impoundment issue is real—but we have a few things going for us.
The most important is that a Republican Congress is not likely to challenge the WH on the issue.
Ultimately if they do nothing the President can impound at will—no matter what any court says.
It has to be a stand alone bill. Reconciliation rules do not allow it in the BBBB. Folks relax

Well apparently, Jim recognized the need for another Trey Gowdy.
I'm presuming this is the (or the first) rescission bill, a category IIRC that also can't be filibustered and that I think can be multiple bills. All the DOGE cuts need to be submitted in such bill(s), but not necessarily in the first one. Shove as many as are already found by DOGE and politically ripe to formalize now into the first one. But the DOGE process should keep adding to their list so we can't have every saving they will find in the initial bill. And it's likely that some DOGE found savings will take more time to 'sell' politically, thanks to these or that RINOs. Don't delay what can be passed now, segregate the harder rescissions into bills designed to optimize their passage, without endangering other savings. Use what we can get down here and whatever we couldn't to promote the midterm campaigns. Hoping to do even more after wins then.

No shucks, Sherlock!
Sadly, he is doing it well.
I hope this is true.

Rescission does not require 60. Reconciliation can only be used once per year. That could be next year’s FY budget.
EC
Or... 51 senators changing the rules.
The President would need the House and then possibly the Senate to vote against impeachment.
In order to vote against impeachment the first step is the House Judiciary Committee.
Since the Republicans hold a majority in that committee there will be no impeachment resolution to vote on....
