Trump accuses Harvard of ‘judge shopping’ and threatens to send $3 billion in federal grants to trade schools

President Donald Trump on Monday again trained his ire on Harvard University, accusing the school of “judge shopping” during its legal battle with the administration and threatening to cut off $3 billion in federal grant funding over the university’s handling of anti-Israel protests.

“I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from a very antisemitic Harvard, and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land,” Trump wrote on social media. “What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!”

Trump’s newest threats come as Harvard begins its spring commencement week in the shadow of a months-long feud between the Ivy League school and the Trump administration over antisemitism, federal funding and the First Amendment.

In its latest move, the Trump administration banned Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students – a decision swiftly halted by a federal judge hours after the nation’s oldest and wealthiest university filed suit. The president has also threatened to revoke Harvard’s tax-exempt status.

Now, the university’s future ability to enroll international students – which make up about 27% of the student body – will depend on how the case plays out in court, with the litigation adding to the piling docket of legal battles for the administration. A hearing in the case is expected to take place Tuesday.

Harvard also sued Trump last month over the administration’s freezing of $2.2 billion in federal funding after the university wouldn’t agree to policy changes demanded by the White House.

"Harvard and the Trump administration are scheduled to meet in court on Thursday and argue their cases to Burroughs, who will decide whether to extend her decision to block the government’s actions by issuing a preliminary injunction.

At the same time as the scheduled hearing, nearly 9,000 degree candidates are due to be celebrating commencement on Harvard’s campus, just 6 miles from the federal courthouse."

Democrat leftist Judges have stepped in very admirably for their side to fill the gap left by the loss of Congress, and the fact that Congressional Dems are not in a position to counter Trump. If Trump’s agenda is somehow stymied this year, the Dem leftist judges should be thanked, and be named “Persons of the Year” for leading an effective resistance phalanx.

$3 billion in taxpayer funding.

The taxpayers are footing the bill for Harvard staff who abhor them.

True Socialists that they are, they have all these great ideas as long as someone else is paying for them.

How about not taxing us for giveaways that aren’t authorized by the Constitution in the first place?

Harvard is in Cambridge, near Boston, and it sued to block Trump’s sanctions in a Federal court in Boston. It’s strange to call that “judge shopping”.

2 Billion in aid could really help the trades, and we really need those people.

A capital idea! It is our money so I support this. It’ll help the trade industry , which is needed, and give Harvard a black eye!

Biden did nothing while in office. No, I mean it. He did nothing. His high school staff used his autopen to create laws while he was napping in Delaware.

Therefore, everything done while he was in office needs to be rescinded. Absolutely, totally and immediately. That includes every single new federal judge appointed in that time.

And Trump needs to find a new Attorney General. That cupcake is so busy with her new found fame and endless DC partying that she still doesn't know why she's there.

Yes, we actually need more auto mechanics, welders, HVAC technicians, electricians, etc.

I am glad to report that the Nashua(NH) community college will be offering a new two year program in Air Traffic Controller.
This course had been taught at Daniel Webster College here in Nashua until they went under. After being bought by ITT.

DW College also had a airplane mechanic course and was one of the few places in the country who taught a four year commercial pilot program. Where graduates would go directly to the major airlines flying shorter routes upon graduating.
Similar to Emery Riddle down in Florida.

I knew the former(RIP)president of NH community College.
She was instrumental in bringing this Air Traffic Controller program. She also was the person who started their Auto Body technician program. Where ALL of their graduates have jobs upon graduation. Many are sponsored by local auto dealers.
Where they work at the dealership and go to school at the same time.

FYI, the ATT program is sponsored by the FAA. There is an FAA facility here in Nashua. There are several hundred Controllers that work there. They are in charge of all the trans Atlantic and domestic flights east of Cleveland.

We do not need any more scumbag lawyers from Harvard. We need people that can actually do useful things.

Sending 3 billion dollars to trade schools instead of the entitled pricks at Harvard is a much better investment for the country.

Hope Trump does this!

Those trade school students will get a far better education and be far better prepared to enter the job market.

Had a plumber in your house lately? Last one cost me $250 for a .10 cent part he had in his truck (Thanksgiving Eve, had a houseful of people coming and only one functioning toilet which decided to give up the ghost). I gladly paid it.

Upgrade to electrical system - only on the outside of my home - was $2500.
