30 years?? Disgusting.
Victim was 27 when he killed her. He’s been on death row longer than she lived.
Who’s the one they’re killing June 10th?
Used to be they were often executed less than 2 months after the crime.
Florida government officials and court officials have allowed this convicted and sentenced murdering rapist to continue to steal oxygen for 30 years. That itself should be considered a crime against the state of Florida.
About damn time!
If you read the post the name of the murderer who will be executed is in second paragraph

I went to high school with a guy that’s been on Florida’s death row since 1995.

On June 10, Anthony Wainwright, 54, is scheduled to die for the kidnapping, rape and murder of Carmen Gayheart in 1994. Gayheart was abducted from a grocery store parking lot in Lake City.
Carmen Gayheart, a 23-year-old nursing student and mother of two, was kidnapped, raped, and murdered on April 27, 1994, in Hamilton County, Florida. She was abducted from a Winn-Dixie parking lot in Lake City, Florida, by two men who had escaped from a prison in North Carolina a few days earlier. The killers, Anthony Floyd Wainwright and Richard Eugene Hamilton, were both found guilty of first-degree murder, kidnapping, robbery, and sexual battery. Hamilton died on death row in January 2023, while Wainwright is scheduled to be executed on June 10, 2025.
Horrifying.
An article from 2014. Worth a read. Glad the governor is signing the death warrants. Poor families.
Home of Old Sparky.
There’s a lot of things wrong with Florida. That a killer can actually grow old on death row here is just one of them.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
if YOU read the article it only tells us the 6/24 murderer. Details are important
Thanks for this. It IS horrifying. I want to see more death row convictions and faster completion
