Secretary of State Marco Rubio offered some shocking data points about American foreign aid spending before the Trump administration reformed the system.
During testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday, the top diplomat revealed that the White House discovered a foreign aid regime that was distracted and inefficient.
Only 12 cents of every dollar spent by USAID reached recipients.
...
while a mere 12 cents went to recipients, the other 88 cents was pocketed by third parties.
...
Rubio noted that the United States is still giving “more humanitarian support than the next 10 countries combined” even after the reforms.
He compared American foreign aid spending to the much more nefarious strategy maintained by China.
“China doesn’t do humanitarian aid. China does predatory lending. That’s what Belt and Road Initiative is,” Rubio continued, referring to the communist nation’s debt-trap diplomacy program.
They have zero record of doing humanitarian aid in the world, and frankly, they don’t know how to do it..
They have no interest in doing it.”
Rubio said that China is instead adept at “going into some country, making you a loan, and then holding that debt over your head.”

Rubio is spot on here. And man, he is such a pleasant surprise in this role.
I’ll bet it’s not even 12 cents!! Unless he’s calling the Democrats “NEEDY”!
Sounds like the ASPCA as well, their funds get spent up before the needy animals get the crumbs.
Do gooders/crooks and governments; our money.
Defund defund defund.
Define The Resistance
Same with March of Dimes, UNICEF etc except the money goes into the pockets of the board
Sounds to me like 88 cents of every dollar went to the intended recipients. The other 12 cents was just the cost of plausible cover for the corruption. Looks like its cheaper than money laundering.
I will never believe another government program intended to help people out again. The question is always who are the insider beneficiaries and what is their cut.
I mean, performance art at the Kennedy center with its glorious boards of illuminati turned out to be a scam? The scam is the goal, the public is the mark and the lame, cripple, helpless victim is just the bait. And the RINOs like Cornyn and McConnell are good with this.
BTTT
‘I be it’s not even 12 cents!!’
As more information comes in, that percentage will probable be reduced.
Well, it’s $.02 more than The March Of Dimes!
Thank you Elon Musk and Crew.
I read somewhere years ago that the same thing was going on in the public school system. It said that "In the state of Ohio billions go missing every year".
USAID
Middle class people in rich counties paying rich people in poor countries.
Basically all aid is ending in pockets of the corrupt ruling classes in poor countries.
That’s why poor countries are so poor.
It is not that they lack of help, but because the people there are robbed dry by their own governments!
He has taken his marching orders from Trump and executed them faithfully and expertly.
I was NEVER impressed with him before. But I am now.
Leftist generosity is taking your money. I’ve suggested for years that Jesus must have said in the Beatitudes “Petition Caesar to take your neighbor’s money and property at the point of a gun so that it might be passed through a wasteful bureaucracy and rendered unto crony contractors who give crumbs to the poor and ye shall be blessed.”

That’s about how much of the Clinton Foundation money ever made it to the actual people. Was the Clinton Foundation modeled after USAID or Vice Versa?
The Dems perfected ‘trickle down economics’
And just how bad was the mob compared to these?
So reading into it, money was being funneled to everywhere but who actually was awarded the money........and yet congress did NOTHING in the big Beautiful Bill to stop the shenanigans, did they? Why would Trump support a bill that did not have deep cuts as I hear the bill will add 4 trillion to the debit over the next 10 years.
