Cheapest Memorial Day Weekend Gas Prices in Years
Whitehouse.gov ^ | The Whitehouse

Posted on 05/24/2025 10:01:57 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

It’s the Trump Effect in action: gas prices this Memorial Day weekend will be the cheapest since 2021 — and “if you adjust for inflation and rising wages, Americans are actually going to spend the least amount filling up this Memorial Day since 2003, excluding COVID,” according to GasBuddy.

The national nightmare that was Biden’s war on American energy is over. After President Donald J. Trump declared a National Energy Emergency on his first day in office, his administration has taken relentless action to revive the nation’s energy capabilities and undo the Biden-era stranglehold on American energy production.

The news is being celebrated across the country:

The ‘weather channel’ climate change apostles, who refuse to call the Gulf ... Gulf of America ... are less than honest regarding Tripple A forecasts regarding ‘gas’ prices ... The devil really is in their details... bunch of idiots.

Definitely not in Florida. I just filled up with 3.19 a gallon regular at speedway. I know Florida doesn’t ever have refineries, but we definitely are one of the hottest chef states for gas prices.

He said gas was 1.99 average the other day. I’d love to know where?

The author is careful to say:

if you adjust for inflation and rising wages

So, to those who are saying "not in my area".

Did you adjust for inflation and rising wages?

Interesting.

They’re averaging close to $3 in the northeast. The BJ’s in Stroudsburg is about $2.80 for regular.

The old Chicago TV Meteorologist John Coleman, who worked at WLS and was founder of The Weather Channel must be spinning in his grave. Coleman was vocal about “climate change” being a hoax.

I did adjust for inflation, but tell me how I adjust for rising wages—on a fixed income here.

The ‘3’ handle is bad optics, no matter how you spin it. Summer blends are useless, except to the farmers. People convert food to energy much more efficiently than ICE vehicles. There are not enough refineries, which big oil likes. We’ve allowed such green stupidity to rule our lives. I hope regenerative AI causes Jesus to return to straighten out this mess.
