After a marathon overnight session, House Republicans passed their multi-trillion-dollar tax breaks package, dubbed the "One Big Beautiful Bill."
The bill passed the chamber by a single vote, 215-214, with Democrats unanimously opposing and only two Republicans voting against, one of which represents Kentucky.
As expected, Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, of Kentucky's 4th District, which includes a lot of area just east of Louisville, was one of the two who broke from party.
When Massie began holding out, President Donald Trump lashed out about him, saying, "he doesn't understand government," and other various insults. Read more here.
Ohio Rep. Warren Davidson, who represents Ohio's 8th District, was the other.

Saw the video of that and it could hardly be described as having "lashed" out. That implies yelling/screaming...no such thing occurred.

Massie could be defeated if he actually had a decent, well funded opponent. That has yet to occur.
Oh quit defending Massie. This is the guy who voted against sanctioning and denying visas to those who engage in human organ harvesting on principle. There was nothing in the bill that was added to it, etc. for him to have a reason to vote against it - he was against taking the action itself.
Why not elect someone who understands government?

Thats exactly the problem. All those who “understand government” are spending us into oblivion. I’d much rather have someone with the courage to stand up to the madness as opposed to just another sychophant who goes along with the crowd.
Let me help you reword that a bit. “Massie could be defeated if he actually had another decent, well funded opponent who is more interested in going along with the crowd as opposed to having the courage to take a stand against the debt-fueled disaster that is looming larger and larger with every passing month of government overspending.”
