Less than 3 in 10 Americans felt the country was on the right track for more than 2 years leading up to the election.

I agree. It’s not that he liked Trump we know he hated him but when Schumer/Pelosi and 0 squeezed him out he really had nothing to lose by undermining her campaign. There were a number of examples although nothing absolutely definitive. In this hat incident he could easily play dumb, smile and chuckle afterwards. If he was aware of his cancer he probably didn’t care at all what happens after he left office and he was quoted as saying exactly that.
