CBS News President and CEO Wendy McMahon announced Monday she was stepping down in another stunning move for the embattled company, Fox News Digital has confirmed.
Her exit follows that of longtime "60 Minutes" producer Bill Owens, who quit last month because he felt he'd lost journalistic independence amid an ongoing legal battle with President Donald Trump.
"Today, I am stepping down from my position as president and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures. It has been one of the most meaningful chapters in my career. Leading this extraordinary organization has been the honor of a lifetime because I got to work alongside all of you," McMahon wrote in a memo to staffers.
"At the same time, the past few months have been challenging," she continued. "It’s become clear that the company and I do not agree on the path forward. It’s time for me to move on and for this organization to move forward with new leadership."

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Well, Trump is SUING after all...sounds like the RATS are jumping the sinking CBS ship.
They need to start spilling the beans as to how biased their network is.
"CBS News chief executive Wendy McMahon donated to President Biden's campaign multiple times in the final months of the 2020 election, when she was at ABC."
I know - shocker!
They suggested that CBS might report the truth.
THAT set her off.
Biden stuff implicates them all so clearly to everyone, they all need to walk the plank
You can fool all of people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time
They could make a fortune selling ad time during a series that could run for years, exposing lies and coverups by the networks.
If I had to guess, I would say that actual businessmen in the corporate structure are trying to remain profitable. They may realize that political activism is costing them a lot of money. They may be trying to steer to a more middle of the road position in order not to lose money.
And I would further speculate that embedded within the corporate structure are quite a few hard Left activists (like this CEO) who say “The hell with profits” and just want to get Trump no matter what the business cost might be. These activists may be heading for the exits because they are losing the internal struggle. Who knows? The News Business might begin to show some interest in the News. And even in the Business. The day of the Activist Journalist may be winding down.
The NYTs article implied it was disagreement with Trump that caused the resignation...
She is upset that the attorneys are recommending the Board negotiate a settlement with Trump. IMHO.
Traitor to her native South
Rat face
In the good old days it was a revolver and one cartridge on the table.
There is currently a merger being negotiated worth BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR A LOT OF SHAREHOLDERS and she is/was in the way.
IPSO FACTO GONZO GONE-O..................
The ‘disagreement’ was The board wanted to fire her and she didn’t like that!.................. 😉
Yup, a merger with Skydance (first I knew of that outfit): Entertainment !!!

I’m betting the threat of discovery by President Trump’s legal team has them spooked and ready to cough up a huge pile of cash. What’s in their emails, their slack messages, etc is so over the top biased and shows them telling so many intentional lies that they’d rather pay a vast sum than let that come to light. They’re so biased they can’t see straight. Once the direct evidence of it was out there for all to see, even leftists who claim not to believe it wouldn’t be able to maintain the facade anymore.
That’s what I like to see, another good democrat!!!
Yabut I'd still hit it.
I’d hit it, kiss it, tickle it, and spank it (gently).
