The result is a dramatic turnaround from the first round of voting a few weeks ago when Mr Simion was well ahead. Pro-Western candidate Nicusor Dan has unexpectedly beaten hard-right populist George Simion in the Romanian election.

Mr Simion, 38, and his rival - a centrist who's mayor of Bucharest - faced off in the second round of the contest.

WARSAW, May 18 (Reuters) - Polish liberals performed worse than expected in a presidential election on Sunday, exit polls showed, as Rafal Trzaskowski from ruling centrists Civic Coalition (KO) scraped to victory setting up a close fight for Warsaw’s pro-European path.

Trzaskowski placed first with 31.1% of the vote, ahead of Karol Nawrocki, the candidate backed by the nationalist Law and Justice (PiS) party, who had 29.1%, according to an Ipsos late poll. The gap was much narrower than the 4-7 percentage points seen in opinion polls before the vote.

Methinks this bodes well in the run-off for the PiS candidate. Konfederacja got 15%, they are much like The UK Reform Party.

Yes... a scam to protect a gigantic air base we are building there. They disqualified Călin Georgescu because too many people on TikTok supported him and so they ran a repeat of the 2016 “Russiagate” scam like they did on Trump. So they kicked him out of the race in March.

Rigged election.

“Another Globalist Fix?”

They had FRENCH PEOPLE voting in this election, and people in Moldova. Rigged worse than 2020 here...obviously!

I voted for Mentzen. It’s about time the PiS-PO duopoly ended. He got 15% which isn’t bad.

I will of course vote Nawrocki in the next round. Trzaskowski is a flaming leftard

Konfederacja is to the right of UK reform.

Both socially and economically.

So what’s your take? Sounds like the other liberal parties didn’t do as well as they had hoped, so the PiS candidate has a pretty shot in the run-off.

Yeah I don’t see Trzaskowski getting much support outside of the PO, other than from The Left, and they only got about 5%.

The other surprise was the support Braun got, at 6%. I don’t like him, though, because he’s an anti-semite.

But I sure don’t see his voters going for Trzaskowski.

Is there any doubt the election was rigged after Simion beat Dan by 20 points in the first round?

The NATO/EU/globalist cabal is the new Soviet Union.
