It’s not some huge mystery. All that mattered was beating Trump, and if they thought Biden could do it while incompetent, they’d have backed him. It was only after his debate performance they figured Harris had a better shot.
At some point, I think the issue with the auto-pen needs to be addressed. All of those pardons — the president had nothing to do with it. The advantage of having a potato as president is that nameless staffers can exercise enormous power to get their pet projects advanced. “I’m an unelected nobody and I can pardon anyone I want!”
Not how it’s supposed to work.

Recall he said he wanted to fundamentally transform America.
He had 12 years of doing just that.
Look at the judiciary as the prime example.

They risked everything to get that through the Congress because they knew the gop-e didn't have the guts to overturn it.

Right you are. Biden had wide name recognition, and a ton of support among older working-class Democrats. That he was a total incompetent didn’t matter at all.

This entire problem is offspring of terrible journalism. Democrats get way too much cover from sympathetic media.
The media even went so far as they were casting the idea that Biden has mental decline as if it was a conspiracy theory.
.......speech by public employees does not receive the same First Amendment protection as the speech of ordinary citizens, so what is the constitutionally viable solution of treating presidents as public employees who work for the people, pocketing tax dollars..........

Well, given all that we know now...
...it makes a lot more sense that they marshalled resources put in place during zero to ‘steal’ the election pursuant to another 4 years of fleecing of the treasury while continuing their takeover of the bureaucracy & judiciary.
Think about it: Who is paying for all these lawsuits against the Trump admin?

Right now they are carefully calculating their next strategy using said resources, nearly all of which will remain in place despite DOGE/DJT, and hard at work building up their savior for ‘28, newsom.
It’s clear ‘why?’ they did it. Patently obvious, and no: They’ll never admit to it.
The ‘tell’ in all of this: Not a single soul either in custody or chains. Even with all his strength, I don’t believe DJT has the power to change anything.
Despite the new administration, I hearken to Russia’s threat with a bit of hope, both for its fruition and for POTUS to be out of the country at that time.
It is rapidly becoming clear that no realistic options remain...unless something rather dramatic begins to occur in the near term to buoy midterms and swing Congress dramatically in our favor (I predict my other hand will fill first).

Right. Until it was too late, they thought either the law-fare or the assassinations were going to eliminate Trump.
They thought Biden was a shoo-in, and let’s face it.. his mental incapacities made him the perfect puppet, so as long as they thought Trump would be eliminated, they didn’t care how far gone Biden was.. the more senile, the better the puppet.
As for this question of who is to blame for the big cover-up of his mental decline…. I say “What cover up?”
Wasn’t it obvious all along that he was mentally unfit? I feel like there’s history being re-written here..
There were hundreds of videos and memes of him slurring, talking nonsense, trailing off into a trance, falling, looking confused, looking like he was pooping his pants in public.
For the entire four years of his “presidency” and a couple years before that, this was going on. He called it a day at 2 PM, he never took questions.
Why is everyone now talking about a cover up? That’s not the way I remember it. I remember it being in your face - they just didn’t care who knew because they thought Trump would be eliminated and the voters would have no say.
