Trump Derangement Syndrome to be studied under new bill... how to tell if you've got symptoms

To MAGA haters, thinking of Donald Trump evokes an automatic rage-filled response called 'Trump Derangement Syndrome.'

And now Congress wants the 'syndrome' studied.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) describes an intense, often irrational hostility or obsession with Donald Trump, his actions, or his supporters. Some Americans react to Trump with exaggerated emotional responses.

The term is often used pejoratively by Trump supporters to dismiss criticisms of the president.

However, the concept lacks a formal psychological or medical basis despite extreme political animus toward the 45th and 47th president has been commonplace.

He has been called an enemy of democracy, a fascist and a dictator akin to Hitler by his political opponents, including from some within his own party.

Trump has been so heavily demonized that his actions - maybe even his mere existence - he's sparked nationwide protests, effigy burnings and two assassination attempts.

So to finally get to the bottom of what is fueling the fiery outrage, Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, introduced the Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) Research Act of 2025 on Thursday to study this presidential phenomenon.

'TDS has divided families, the country, and led to nationwide violence—including two assassination attempts on President Trump,' Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Ohio, told the Daily Mail in a statement.

Admittedly a messaging bill, the proposal seeks to leverage the National Institute of Health's existing programs to study the disorder. And it's shouldn't cost a dime.

'The TDS Research Act would require the NIH to study this toxic state of mind, so we can understand the root cause and identify solutions,' said Davidson.

It’s a serious threat. How can a former FBI director think that it would be a smart thing to do to make such a post about the President of the United States? From just a “regular Joe” such a post can usually be ignored, but Comey has the mean, methods, and access to intelligence and Trump’s schedule to actually do (or hire/coordinate someone to do) something such as this.

It is worth studying to see how it can be identified and defused before it turns into war, because it has happened many other times in history. Hitler and the Nazis persuaded the German public that Jews were sub-human. In Rwanda, the genocide was preceded by a relentless campaign of hatred of the Tutsi's, who were not even an ethnic group but persons who were identified by the Belgian colonialists as gifted. In America, slavery and discrimination were justified by racism against blacks that made them to be stupid and foolish. Biden and the Dems also engaged in similar MAGA-hate, with some violence such as the Floyd riots.

Trying to reason with the haters is not very effective, and that is puzzling. People who may be rational on other points refuse to calm down when the subject is Trump or MAGA. They are really getting dangerous. We need to understand and defuse.

The end stage of TDS is Ameriphobia which unfortunately will cause it’s sufferers to kill people as slogans and catch phrases grow meaningless by the week.
The swine on the left are like drug addicts who must use more and more stronger drugs to stay high.
It is this feature of their addiction that makes them dangerous.
