Former judge Jeanine Pirro was sworn in as interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
Pirro, 73, will now lead a team of attorneys in defending President Donald Trump's administration in court as well as prosecuting local crimes in the nation's capital.

I love the Judge! I’ll bet she is a lot of fun to be with on a date or maybe a ball game with beer.
Fantastic!
For DC.....that’s the key...since DC is 99% Dem country.
Loved her on The Five on Fox every afternoon. I will miss her great insight!
Will her performance match her Fox brand?
The verdict is still out on other Fox nominees.
I think she will be good.
Federal law allows the president to appoint an interim U.S. Attorney for up to 120 days without Senate confirmation when the position is vacant.
This bypasses the typically lengthy Senate confirmation process, enabling a swift transition. Pirro’s predecessor, Ed Martin, was also an interim appointee whose term was set to expire on May 20, 2025
So we’ll have to go through this again in September.
If Pirro is not confirmed, can Trump re-appoint Martin as interim attorney?
RE: Former judge Jeanine Pirro was sworn in as interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
Well, salary wise, that’s a huge step down from her gig at Fox News where she was reportedly making close to $3 million a year.
I doubt she will even make 6% of that as US attorney.
The D.C. attorneys must be cringing. They might have to prosecute real criminals.
She talks a good game but I’m expecting her to be a big disappointment in the job. I hope I’m wrong.
Wouldn’t that be self criminating?.
on the job today
All I’d say is Trump’s attorney this morning (Sauer) was a disaster and pretty much threw away the 14th Amendment case. So Pirro could be an improvement imho.
👏
Nice! Very sharp lady.
