Trump to skip Russia-Ukraine peace talks, calls Zelenskyy the ‘greatest salesman, maybe in history’

President Donald Trump on Thursday said he would skip Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul and downplayed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision not to attend.

Speaking in Doha, Trump said the Russia-Ukraine war "has to stop." The president lamented the lives lost and money spent on the war effort.

"We spent $350 billion there – just handed. Nobody even knows where the money is. There’s no accounting. There’s no one. It’s just give him money," Trump said, referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I have to hand it to him. I think he’s the greatest salesman, maybe in history. Every time he came to the United States, he’d walk away with $100 billion. That’s a good salesman, right?" Trump said. "Last time he didn’t do as well. He only got $60 billion."

Correcting the article ---

"The push for direct talks between Zelenskyy and Putin comes amid a flurry of negotiations MEDIA SPECULATION aimed at producing a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine."

Trump is wrong about one thing. Everybody knows where the money is.

Everyone knows the Ukie days are numbered, to think otherwise is foolish.

Unconditional Surrender by the green goblin is the best option, slowly but surely. This war will end when Vlad is good and ready.

Further Correction - all but admitted to by the Neocons:

“The push for direct talks between Zelenskyy and Putin comes amid a flurry media speculation aimed at producing a TEMPORARY ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine to ALLOW UKRAINE TO RE-ARM AND RESTART THE WAR.”

“aimed at producing a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine”

I think Zelenskyy and Putin should aim for a long-term deal.

It’s best to get every issue out in the open and then settled.

Your devotion to “Vlad” is sickening.

But you mean he hasn’t been ready to end the war for over 3 years? He must be quite the failure.

“I think Zelenskyy and Putin should aim for a long-term deal. It’s best to get every issue out in the open and then settled.”

Ideally, yes. But cannot happen as it would take concessions that would get one or both of them burned at the stake. It’s needs to be Trump and Putin ending the war, but then Europe doesn’t want that as they know Trump will be tempted to cut them loose if we manage to again get on good terms with Russia.

It needs to be for the entire region. What good is securing Ukraine if the Russians can just move their tanks into Belarus, right up to the Polish border?

---- "It's best to get every issue out in the open and then settled."

Respectfully, what makes you imply that there are issues not "out in the open?"

There is that “ceasefire” word again. These negotiations were about ending the whole war. Not an intermission.

No wonder Trump and Putin are not bothering to go themselves.

Looks as if this administration has just about had it with the little Ukie prick and his cabal.
Word is coming out into the open that the dancing punk will soon have to go on the run.
Meanwhile, the Russians simply are doing what they want now at the front.
So, might take a while yet but, Ukieland will be reduced to a postage stamp sized country of no consequence whatever. Might even be absorbed into neighboring countries.

Aint globalism grand? They managed to eff up another region for decades.

The EU handlers and Zelinski just overplayed their hype.

Trump is going to meet with Putin personally.

The EU/Ukrainians now face the worst possible case, a total loss of control, input or ability to disrupt.

We know Trump and Putin organized the Istanbul II initiative; we know too that EU Big 3 and Z tried to disrupt by use of precondition’s to Istabul II.

Rather than shuttle diplomacy between the US back and forth with the Ukrainians and Russians... Trump bitch-slapped the EU 3 & Z by announcing NOTHING WILL HAPPEN UNTIL I MEET WITH PUTIN FACE TO FACE.

Trump has managed so far to separate himself from the EU 3 & Z; he cannot, however, separate himself from being the Face of American creating the Coup, the Arms buildup in Ukraine.

The only thing Trump can do is tell the world the US has been at WAR with Russia via Proxies, and in this instance under Biden the US lost control of it’s proxies as they were soundly defeated by Russia. Of course, Trump still controls Zelinski - this is all theater and there really is NOT EU 3 & Z but the US, EU/NATO & Zelinski against Russia.

Trump will not be able to save all the assets in Ukraine that underpin the West’s Central Banks in Ukraine.

The City of Zaporizhzhia is the “CRITICAL” Financial Consideration for Ukraine. Loss of this city will take any possibility of Ukraine ever having an economy to support it as a nation-state. Trump knows this. Ukraine has already lost most of the natural resources important to the west.

Russia can defeat the EU simply by taking Zaproizhzhia from Ukraine, thereby depriving them of revenues from manufacturing and mining.

Of course if Ukraine cannot defend this one critical area, they also cannot defend Odessa or the Black Sea coastline.

The West gave it their best try. Harvard’s collective rotten braintrust has failed the British Empire and by association the US Globalism on the Alter of Ukraine.
