Drugmakers' shares fell globally after President Trump said he would sign an executive order to lower the cost of prescription drugs. Shares of Japan's Daiichi Sankyo, which gets about a third of revenue from the U.S., dropped around 8%. Other Japanese drug stocks also fell.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Pfizer now back up 3%.
Yahoo very concerned about people who own big pharma stocks all of a sudden.
Meanwhile, the market celebrates Trump’s tariff win.
We’re moving piecemeal to a national negotiated rate. If this is done for drugs, it will be done for medical procedures at some point.
That's what just happened.
NUKE UNCONSTITUTIONAL GOV'T "HEALTHCARE" (AKA DEATH PROTOCOL).
Unconstitutional gov't price control!
GOOD!
Because I'm buying Big Farmah stocks. Expect them to skyrocket.
When the Government has the ability to dictate prices and profitability for major drug companies, it means the government is already far to involved in this market.
"The market" being the US market....which subsidizes all the world's socialist countries drug prices.
Our prices are sometimes 10X what they are paying for the same exact product and manufacturer. It's been that way for a long time.
Get government out of medicine and Congress out of buying stock in big pharma and pandering to pharma lobbyists.
There is so much wrong that has brought us here.
Sucks to be evil politicians today.
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is known for negotiating discounted pharmaceuticals to distribute abroad, aiming to increase access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other illnesses.
CHAI collaborates with pharmaceutical companies to drive down the prices of drugs and improve access to essential health tools.
However, there have been discussions about CHAI’s role in protecting domestic high prices for pharmaceuticals, suggesting that maintaining higher prices in domestic markets could benefit certain stakeholders financially...
Maybe we really need to get the Clinton’s out of price control
"The government" has long since allowed Big Farmah to rape US patients while giving super discounts to socialist (socialized medicine) countries. That's what is being ended.
Now Americans will be charged the same price as everyone else.
Pharmaceutical profits should remain largely unchanged.

Watch and learn.
The US has been subsidizing drug prices for the rest of the world for decades. We cannot continue as we are flat broke.
WSJ editorial board says its just “price controls” and that “we could have just elected a Democrat for that.”
When the Government has the ability to dictate prices and profitability for major drug companies, it means the government is already far to involved in this market
When government pays for drugs for people without insurance and it has been doing that, it artificially inflates the price of drugs because the drug companies know there is no limit to what the government will pay. This results in higher prices and higher insurance rates for all of us.
Same thing happens in public housing. Landlords know that if they opt into such a program they can charge $2500 - $4000 a month for a rent that once cost $500 - $800 a month. The working man cannot pay that nor are they qualified to get into public housing. The landlord prefers to rent to tenents on the government because there is no limit as to how much they can profit.
That’s government control and that’s why epepins and other drugs are too expensive for anybody but the government and insurance companies can afford.
