Trump offers illegal migrants an ‘exit bonus’ — and ‘free flight out of our country’ — via self-deport executive order

President Trump signed an executive order Friday authorizing government-funded flights and financial incentives to illegal migrants willing to self-deport.

The program, dubbed “Project Homecoming,” tasks government agencies with facilitating travel for migrants without travel documents, providing flights “at no cost to illegal aliens,” offering concierge service at airports to assist with travel bookings and granting illegal migrants an “exit bonus” to leave the US.

“We are making it as easy as possible for illegal aliens to leave America,” Trump said in a video posted on Truth Social.

“Any illegal alien can simply show up at an airport and receive a free flight out of our country.”

The president noted that through the Department of Homeland Security’s new CBP Home app “illegals can book a free flight to any foreign country.

“As long as it’s not here, you can go anywhere you want,” he declared.

The “exit bonus,” which DHS indicated earlier this week would be in the amount of $1,000-per-migrant, “will save American taxpayers billions and billions of dollars,” according to the president.

“Eventually, when the illegals are gone, it will save us trillions of dollars,” Trump continued, warning that illegal migrants choosing to remain in the country will face “severe consequences,” including stiff fines, jail time and “sudden deportation in a place and manner solely of our discretion.

“We want you out of America,” the president declared, before claiming, “If you’re really good, we’re going to try and help you get back in.”

Trump’s order directs Secretary of State Marco Rubio and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to launch a nationwide communications campaign to inform illegal migrants of the Project Homecoming program and of the consequences of remaining.

The president also called for the “deputizing” of state and local law enforcement officers, former federal...

Without a border wall, this is just a $1000 giveaway to illegals, combined with a free flight home for a vacation, after which they can simply return illegally. Trump should be kicking Mike Johnson’s worthless butt to pass legislation mandating funding, upkeep and staffing of a comprehensive border wall.

Illegal border crossings have declined to near zero. China’s Darien Gap flow has disappeared.

We cannot let our guard down because the cartels and NGO’s in cahoots have temporarily backed off. Finish the wall for the future as a force multiplies on the southern border to enhance the effectiveness of the Border Patrol manpower for now and the future. And correct the erroneous progressive disinformation affecting public opinion regarding the “holding” in the Wong Kim Ark (1898) U.S. Supreme Court decision. Looking forward to the SCOTUS hearing on the 15th of May.

Some preparatory reading on the subject of “birthright citizenship” to get ready for the 15th May SCOTUS hearing.

Border walls can be left unmanned by design.

Legislation is also needed to allow states the authority to take unilateral action on illegals if the Feds are not ‘repelling invasion’ like what happened during the Biden catastrophe.

You have to wonder about unintended consequences, like defaults on car loans, rental leases, medical debt, credit card debt, legal judgments of people fleeing the country because they get money and a free airplane ticket from Uncle Sam. I hope none of that will come back for the tax payers to pick up.

What about the unintended consequences?
Financial fallout from people fleeing the country?

They’ll have no problem getting their S/S checks, disability payments, SSI rerouted.

Non-citizens can receive Social Security benefits if they are lawfully present in the U.S. and meet other eligibility requirements. This includes those receiving disability benefits through Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). However, specific rules apply regarding lawful presence, work history, and potentially residing outside the U.S.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:

Non-citizens receive Social Security benefits, including SSDI and SSI. For SSDI, non-citizens are supposed to have worked and paid Social Security taxes for a certain period, similar to citizens. They must also have paid into the system for 5 out of the last 10 years before becoming disabled.

Generally, S/S stupidly believes non-citizens can’t continue receiving Social Security benefits if they leave the U.S. and reside elsewhere for more than 6 calendar months.

Non-citizens may qualify for SSI, which is a needs-based program. Eligibility criteria for SSI can differ from those for Social Security benefits. For many non-citizens with an immigration sponsor, their income and resources are considered in determining eligibility for SSI.

Navigating SSDI claims as a non-citizen can be complex, and legal assistance may be helpful. Documentation and advocacy can be important, especially if issues arise or appeals are necessary.

Definitely out of the box thinking.

It’s also an indicator of the scale of the deportation effort.

Suspending habeas corpus is another such indicator.

Today is not how it's going to be forever. Were you not paying attention in January 2021 when Biden dropped all border enforcement efforts? It's guaranteed to happen again the next time a Democrat takes office _unless_ there is legislation mandating a manned, patrolled border wall. The GOP is again squandering the Congressional majority Trump gave them.
