Long before she was a Fox News host who pushed pro-Trump election conspiracy theories, Jeanine Pirro was an ambitious New York politician whose career stalled after she was recorded plotting to bug her then-husband’s boat to catch him in an affair.
The revelation rocked Pirro’s campaign for New York attorney general nearly 20 years ago, resulting in days of front-page headlines in the city’s tabloids (“BUG THIS LOVE BOAT!” blared the Daily News cover).
The conversation took place in 2005 between Pirro and the former commissioner of the New York Police Department, Bernard Kerik, a close ally of Rudy Giuliani’s.
“What am I supposed to do, Bernie? Watch him f--- her every night?” Pirro said, according to a transcript obtained by WNBC-TV’s Jonathan Dienst in 2006. “What am I supposed to do? I can go on the boat. I’ll put the f-----g thing on myself.”

This was a horrible thing 20 years ago, but using a cigar on and staining the dress of an intern 30+ years ago was ok if not totally acceptable. Ok....got it....🙄
I am more concerned that she participated in her husband’s tax fraud through willful blindness, and knew or should have known about her husband’s alleged connections to alleged gangsters.
If that actually occurred, why did this writer write about this crap instead of that?
No idea, but I was in the courtroom during Al Pirro’s tax fraud trial when she admitted under oath that she used his business credit card for non-business purposes and that she had no idea that his business paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for art work and furnishings for their personal residence. As for his connections to people connected to organized crime, let’s just say I have personal knowledge.
I am not suggesting that her husband was mobbed up, rather, he did business with people who were connected to organized crime.

She’s not running for an office so people’s perception is not as important as then.
But if she wants to be confirmed before the clock runs out, senators whose votes she would need will eventually run for office. Tillis reelection in 2026.

Tilis already said he will confirm her. The rest of the usual clowns (turtle, frigid Alaskan and leftover half of Maine twins) are not sure. Hopefully Ms. Linsey and Johni come lately do not make any trouble.

It's not, and I don't even remember it during her statewide elections. This is typical Dem dirt, she gets an appointment and they try to make a mountain out of a nothing burger.
