WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is tapping Dr. Casey Means, a wellness influencer with close ties to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as his nominee for surgeon general after withdrawing his initial pick for the influential health post.

Trump said in a social media post Wednesday that Means has “impeccable ‘MAHA’ credentials” – referring to the “ Make America Healthy Again ” slogan – and that she will work to eradicate chronic disease and improve the health and well-being of Americans.

“Her academic achievements, together with her life’s work, are absolutely outstanding,” Trump said. “Dr. Casey Means has the potential to be one of the finest Surgeon Generals in United States History.”

In doing so, Trump withdrew former Fox News medical contributor Janette Nesheiwat from consideration for the job, marking at least the second health-related pick from Trump to be pulled from Senate consideration. Nesheiwat had been scheduled to appear before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Thursday for her confirmation hearing.

The White House is nominating a doctor of holistic medicine to be the next Surgeon General. AP correspondent Donna Warder reports.

Means and her brother, former lobbyist Calley Means, served as key advisers to Kennedy’s longshot 2024 presidential bid and helped broker his endorsement of Trump last summer. The pair made appearances with some of Trump’s biggest supporters, winning praise from conservative pundit Tucker Carlson and podcaster Joe Rogan. Calley Means is currently a White House adviser who appears frequently on television to promote restrictions on SNAP benefits, removing fluoride from drinking water and other MAHA agenda items.

Casey Means has no government experience and dropped out of her surgical residency program, saying she became disillusioned with traditional medicine. She founded a health tech company, Levels, that helps...

This GAL is awesome. I have always held Pres. Trump in high esteem as he knows how to choose a real DREAM TEAM. She is going to bring some changes to the medical practice and procedures. Wow... GOOD NEWS.

MDs no longer practice medicine. The adhere to bureaucratic protocols.

Most physicians who graduated med school prior to the mid 1980’s are grandfathered under the Board Certification Rules. Those who are not grandfathered must take comprehensive board examination exams every ten years to maintain their Board Certification.

Due to the passage of time, all the grandfathered physicians who continued practicing into old age are no longer able to practice.

The younger physicians are retiring early rather than taking the ten year comprehensive examinations. They are difficult.

Thus we are headed toward a major shortage in physicians due to the changes in the practice rules.

They are making up for it with Physicians Assistants. Often they are better that the MD’s.

They work the ER’s and see a lot of patients.

That's OK. We have plenty of DEI bureaucrats dictating medical policy to take up the slack.

I am grandfathered and practice every day. There are still some of us around.

My wife just got diagnosed with breast cancer. (Stage 1)

We met with a holistic medicine doctor Monday and a surgeon today.

We’ll be doing a hybrid treatment plan.

Fortunately we’ve got the money. The holistic doctor is cash and there are lots of supplements and specific diet.

Don’t overlook Admiral Richard (Dickless) aka “Rachel” Levine.

It is the very model of the modern addled admiral
In matters chromosomal it will never truly be a girl...
Although in matters viral and bacterial inferior
It wants the world to bow and pucker up to its posterior!

President Trump has nominated Dr. Casey Means
@CaseyMeansMD
to be the next US Surgeon General.

Surgeon General is a very interesting term.

The Surgeon General is the nation’s top doctor, responsible for providing medical advice and leadership on public health issues.

It is worth noting that Casey Means doesn’t have a surgical residency, and isn’t a surgeon.

The term Surgeon General is interesting given the fact that there is no requirement to be a Surgeon to be Surgeon General. Turns out you can be a social media influencer and become Surgeon General.

Did you know that? I wonder why it’s called Surgeon General if you don’t have to be a Surgeon to hold the position.

Turns out you don’t have to be a Trump supporter either.

Janette Nesheiwat was not simpatico with 47’s aged. She was, however, the sister-in-law to now reassigned Mike Waltz.
