ESPN analyst and broadcaster Stephen A. Smith got honest about his feelings over the fact that Donald Trump won the last presidential election. According to Smith, this is proof that the Democratic Party‘s time guilt-tripping the Black community is over.

In his latest appearance on News Nation, Stephen A. Smith gave his honest take on the significance of Donald Trump winning the last election, especially to the Democratic party and the Black community.

“It didn’t work this time,” Smith said, talking about the guilt-tripping and fearmongering he said came from the Democratic Party. “And to be quite honest with you, even though I might not like some of the things I’m seeing from the Trump administration thus far, the bottom line is I’m glad it didn’t work.”

“Because I think, for the longest time, black Americans have played the role of suckers to the Democratic Party,” he added. “They’ve guilted us into voting for them. Created divisions in our communities to get our vote, instead of saying to us, hey, this is what we will do for you.”

Stephen A. Smith has had a complex relationship with Donald Trump, often balancing criticism and praise in his commentary. While he has harshly criticized Trump’s policies, particularly on race and diversity initiatives, he has also acknowledged Trump’s political resilience and ability to connect with voters.

Smith has previously stated that Trump’s return to the White House in 2024 was “the greatest comeback in American history” despite his legal troubles and controversies.

Smith Receives Endorsement From Donald Trump In a surprising turn of events, Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Stephen A. Smith as a potential 2028 presidential candidate, stating that he would “love to see him run.”

The endorsement came during a NewsNation town hall, where Trump joined the discussion via phone call alongside Chris Cuomo and Bill O’Reilly. When asked about Smith’s possible candidacy, Trump praised his entertainment skills, saying that people “love watching him” and that his ability to engage audiences would be crucial for the race.

Smith is opinionated and voluble...but he hasn’t been tested as an executive yet. If he ran it would show that he is running on pure celebrity status..he needs a management and civil activity track record.. don’t want another Schwarzenegger...that was a disaster.

Stephen A Smith says what he needs to say to stay in the news, period. His opinions will change 180 degrees tomorrow if that would get him better press coverage. “A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing” is an appropriate quote to describe him.

Oh, he’s an executive. He runs a team that presents himself, the product, to the camera. Big money, too.

Forget policy. Eventually that gets talked about, but on day one the only thing that matters is Swamp status. He has zero Swamp status. No political history, like Vance, who had only 2 yrs in the Senate when picked as VP.

This is the primary credential in the world we face. Anyone you have heard of is likely not qualified via Swamp status. People in politics for years are Swamp and disqualified.

He’s not Swamp, so he’s not disqualified.

Hey, the Democrats have a long history of doing things for Black Americans. They provided a jobs program that guaranteed 100% employment (slavery); they relieved them of the burden of having to vote (Jim Crow); and now-days, they offer them free contraception and abortion, help train them to become interested in deviant sex acts, and turn their young men into young women.

Who wouldn't vote for that agenda?

He’s like Malcom X on the 60’s putting down white liberals-no different.

This time around circumstances have changed and we can now pile on.

Yeah. He still talks like a slave of the
DNC.

Guilt tripping? What are you going to do FOR us?

You can’t be guilt tripped if you read a f’ing history book about the Dems.

Do for us? It’s not their job. It’s yours.

They can just quit making things miserable.

Also, I hate talking about electing “leaders”.

I’ll lead my own life. You represent ME.

SAS also has a vault filled with him saying stupid, and sometimes racially inflammatory stuff. His would be a shorter candidacy than that of Jeb Bush.
