Broken Hearts of Pine - Maine's Official Sports Song

Here we go again, fighting for our rights again, ironically, this time, stripped away by other women!
I’m just a girl, sixteen years old, Tryin’ to find my place in a world so cold. I go to school, I play my sports, But now I’m scared in the spaces I thought were for us. Boys in my locker room, boys in my showers, They say it’s progress, but I’m losing my powers. I just want a place where I can feel safe, Not a battleground where my voice gets erased.
Oh, adults, oh parents, can’t you see what’s wrong? They’re taking our spaces, they’re stealin' our song. Governor Mills, with your Human Rights Act, You codified an ideology, ignored the facts. Critical gender theory, it’s tearing us apart, Fight for us, fight for me, I just wanna be a girl, can’t you let me be? You gonna silence us all like you did Laurel Libby?
I used to love track, I’d run so fast, But now I’m competing with a boy from my class. He says he’s a girl, and I’m told to agree, But where’s the fairness for someone like me? They say I’m the problem if I speak my mind, But I’m just a kid, trying to find A world where “female” still means something real, Not a concept erased by how someone feels.
They say it’s inclusion, but I feel pushed out, My voice gets smaller the more that I shout. Woke teachers tell me I’m wrong to feel scared, But I’m just a girl, and I’m unprepared. Maine’s law says a boy can just claim my space, Erasing what’s female, it’s a slap in my face. I’m begging you now, don’t let this go on, I need my safe spaces before they’re all gone.

Somebody in that state needs a 2X4 across the chops until they get the message.
Don’t let your daughters attend public school unarmed. Better yet, don’t let them attend public school, period, exclamation point!
