Thanks for another great Road Trip Monday, Lauren!
Howdy, lauren! *HUGZ*
How did the event go this weekend? I think I have the timing right on that. LOL
Looks like it was a bit soggy there today.
Hi PROCON!
You’re so sweet to ask, it was an outdoor event and Friday it rained in the middle of the day, so that was not pleasant. But Saturday and Sunday was pretty amazing. It was a “family fun” event so it was great to see all of the families out.
Soggy for sure today, and tomorrow, and only in the 60’s. Crazy!
Hope you have a great week!

I am pro sealed borders and 9th generation Swiss-German immigrant (more or less); nevertheless made a huge crock pot of taco soup for Cinqou de Mayo and have imbibed so many margaritas than any further comments will be PWI.
Here’s my Moody AFB story:
I was the staff judge advocate of the 340th Flying Training Group, a group of six squadrons of reserve instructor pilots who trained active duty flyers, and one of our squadrons, the 6 FTS Firebirds, was at Moody. The new commander (it had just been stood up) met with the base commander, a female 06, and she was not happy to have a bunch of reservists at her base. Her exact words to the SQ/CC were, “I don’t need some old boys’ flying club on my base.” He, of course, reassured her that all would be professional, and they were. Except that the Friday shirt, when unveiled, was a gaudy red and blue bowling shirt with the squadron logo across the back and “Firebirds Flying Club” in 4 inch letters surrounding the squadron patch. It was priceless.
Well, at least it didn’t rain the whole weekend and only part of the time wasn’t much fun. Sounds like a success overall and that’s what counts.
We’ve been in the upper 50s and low 60s for a few days. Big change from the 80s earlier last week. Kinda shocks the system, doesn’t it? LOL They’re saying the whole south is supposed to have lower than average temps the next week or so. Let’s enjoy it while we can!
Howdy, PRO.
Have a good weekend? I hope your weather was a lot nicer than ours so you could enjoy a little outside time.
