Kilmar Abrego Garcia will return to the national spotlight when the Senate votes on a resolution calling for a report on his detention in El Salvador.

In the coming weeks, the Senate will take up a Democratic resolution that would require the Trump administration to detail the human rights record of El Salvador, including its treatment of inmates in the megaprison where Abrego Garcia, a mistakenly deported illegal immigrant, was briefly detained.

No doubt Murkowski, Collins, and maybe Rand Paul will vote with the dems.

If this is the hill they want to die on, so be it, it's an 80/20 issue not in their favor.

The Maryland wife beater didn’t take advantage of the due process available to him to get into this country so why should he be allowed due process to get deported?

“...mistakenly deported illegal immigrant” — NOPE.

“...was briefly detained [at CECOT]” — Huh? Did they move him?

Bingo...
Invading — no due process.
Leaving — years of due process.

You can’t have it both ways, lunatic progs.

He had due process. He was ordered deported in 2019. That was appealed and he lost the appeal. Then he sought a Green Card and that was denied based on the two previous rulings that he was a gang member. He admitted to being a gang member and contested where he wanted to be deported to.

What more due process do they want? I think they just like saying it because their porch morons keep falsely repeating it.

They’re just shameless, aren’t they? They’ve taken a hit with the revelations of how Abrego Garcia treats his wife, so they’re now ridiculously trying to deflect to how El Salvador treats its prisoners.

Democrats truly serve no useful purpose anymore, and I’m glad more and more people are realizing it. Even Democrats.

he got plenty of due process

i think a spotlight on abrego is a good thing

i would like to know how many criminal alien gang members have hold orders on their deportations

cuz they fear rival gangs in their home countries

The man is a citizen of El Salvador.
He was in this country illegally.

That is all.

RE: a report on his detention in El Salvador.

“It has been an interesting trip. A good friend Chris Van Hollen visited me and we had fun talking and having people take our pictures a lot. He brought me a cake but I bit into a metal file and hurt my teeth so I didn’t eat it. Some other new friends from the US came over but wouldn’t let me stay in the 5 star Hilton San Salvador with them but brought me some meals from the high class restaurant. They didn’t want me in pictures by the big pool overlooking the volcano. Camera shy. Have to go now. My masseur is here.”

Yes, Dems want him “home.”

“Home is where the Salvadoran violent gang member is.”

Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s deportation was NOT a mistake, he chose to behave badly while in this country, a data set the Democrat Socialists have preferred to ignore. He, in fact, DID have a great deal more “due process” offered to him that was ever noted in the record, as when he was picked up as a “human trafficker” in 2022, and the police report was “lost” by Homeland Security.

Following orders to be strictly complied with, from the Oval Office itself, in regards to local police arrests of suspected illegal immigrants.

“ Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s deportation was NOT a mistake”

Has the DOJ lawyer who was supposed to be representing the USA in court but instead represented the Salvadoran wife-beating gang member, been fired? He was put on administrative leave. IMHO he was a saboteur against the Trump administration. All of this kerfuffle started with his saying it was “a mistake.”

Here’s your report:

“Garcia was found to be illegally residing in the United States, and was duly ordered to be deported in 2019 after a due process review of his case which determined his illegal status.

He was removed from the United States and returned to his home country of El Salvador, where he currently resides.”

That’s the report. No more. No less.

This story continues to confound me . Even after the police video of him trafficking and the audio of his wife calling him a wife beater they still want to have him as their poster child.

No invaded country can survive that.

Unfortunately, Team Trump’s efforts for mass deportation look more like theater than anything else at this point.

Democrats don’t understand that people do not care about illegal gang members and we don’t care about El Salvador’s prisons.

And we want the rest of plain ole illegal invaders to go home.

Democrats can’t have any pro America stances because they are not for Americans.

Last night I looked at the immigration statutes and posted what I found. If an alien is found to be deportable and the Attorney General believes there is good reason to consider them a danger to the US they aren’t eligible to receive a withholding based on deportation to their home country not being safe for them.

If you being here poses a danger to the US we don’t legally have to care about danger to you when we deport.
