“Data from Spain’s national grid shows a lost of >10 GW of demand, from ~26GW to ~12GW in a few seconds. Reason unknown.”

Cloud cover? Lack of a breeze?

If only we could find a way to generate steady, reliable power using some type of abundant fuel found in the ground....

From the Daily Mail. LOL!

“The power cuts come just days after Spain’s power grid ran entirely on renewable energy, including wind, solar and hyrdro power, for a whole day for the first time on April 16.”

We’re going to have this here if we don’t replace those Chinese controlled Transformers.

Why we let technology in that contained back doors that allowed China to control them is a mystery.

A friend in Madrid just texted telling me everything is shut down, “pandemonium”. Can’t get anything to eat. Says his hotel must have a generator. But he got to the bullfights.

I think it’s “alternative power” (mostly solar, for which they are destroying all that beautiful country’s landscape), which is unfortunately not very stable.

All of the European grids are connected. Last week southern France had an outage that extended to northern Spain, and this latest Spanish outage affected places as far north as Brussels.

It’s possible that there was sabotage of some sort (I imagine they get a lot of tech from China) but I think it’s just the insane European dedication to “alternative” fuels for their energy production that’s responsible. Meanwhile, they’re busy getting rid of the little bit of nuclear that remains.

The obvious fix is to buy on credit more solar panels and windmills from China.
