Numerous world leaders and royals have gathered in Rome for Pope Francis' funeral.
Among the most prominent figures at the Vatican's St Peter's Square on Saturday morning were Prince William, US President Donald Trump and his predecessor Joe Biden, Britain's Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Their attendance comes at a fragile time for international diplomacy, with Trump meeting Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky before the service.
So among the VIP attendees, who sat next to whom?
Trump was in a front-row seat near Francis' coffin, alongside his wife Melania Trump, across the aisle from Macron and his wife Brigitte.
Intriguingly, he and First Lady Melania were sitting between two staunch supporters of Ukraine. Estonia's President Alar Karis was to Melania's left, and Finland's Alexander Stubb to Trump's right.

Estonia and Finland are both staunch allies of another man of the moment in attendance - Zelensky, who looked sombre-faced at the Vatican. He was sitting on the same row as Macron, separated by a few other dignitaries.
Zelensky, who has been locked in negotiations and public arguments with Trump in recent weeks, was just 10 seats and one aisle away from him, on the same row.
Shortly before the funeral started, the pair were pictured sitting locked in deep discussion.
The White House described the 15-minute meeting as "very productive," while Zelensky said it was "very symbolic" and had "potential to become historic".

Thank you!
Get this line in the story:
“A Dodge Ram is a classic American muscle car, more likely to be seen in a Fast and Furious movie than at a papal funeral.”
Well, in Italy and all of Europe, an American pickup truck is an “American muscle car”. It is like spotting a unicorn. lol
Mmm, yeah. So how ya been?
Biden was sitting in his own “pew”....
Pickups are impractical for Rome, because they are too long and wide. Jeeps sell rather well.
Here are the dimensions:
Jeep Avenger: 13 feet 5 inches long, 5 feet 10 inches wide
Dodge RAM 1500: 19 feet long, 6 feet 11 inches wide
Ford F-150: 18 feet long, 6 feet 9 inches wide
Chevrolet Silverado 1500: 19 feet long, 6 feet 11 inches wide
You mean the funeral of the pure evil, anti pope Jorge. I cannot wait until that evil is gone from daily news.
“Forgive me, Trump, for I have sinned.”
“Who TF cares???”
I sent an email to Newsmax this morning addressing the godforsaken excruciating never-ending coverage. And the overuse of the words “humility” and “humble” in reference to the guy.
They’re speaking those words LITERALLY while showing him in spectacular grandiosity, bejeweled and bedazzled, ensconced in red velvet, with gold everywhere. And with a big gold hat on his head.
And they try to pass him in of as Peter incarnate, a poor lowly to fisherman. Not buyin’ it.
Yes, I recognize the irony. Do you teally care how the “dignitaries “ were seated???
We saw an F250 in a Kiev Ukraine shopping center parking lot in 2016. There were a group of cute girls gawking at it. It seemed like a pretty good mating strategy on the part of the owner. Very unique.
Melania also wore a mantilla when she and DJT met the Pope in Trump’s first term.

God damned Holy See.
And I’m not cussing.
Ironic.
“Latin for me, but not for thee.”
This picture reminds of when my Dad would have a serious talk about something I shouldn’t have done, or didn’t do something I should have done. There were other times when I didn’t obey my Mom it would be a back-hand sending me into the next county over.
“Latin for me, but not for thee.”
I assume this was not the traditional Latin mass that Francis suppressed; most likely it was the Novus Ordo in a Latin translation. Perhaps you already know this (I attend the SSPX TLM), the novus ordo, even if said in Latin, is totally different from the “real” Latin mass, the usus antiquior.
I thought I recognized the front grill as belonging to a Dodge Ram…
