Gone are the days when “Global warming isn’t real” was the primary claim of those most vocally opposed to climate action. ...
...Rather than outright deny the problem, today, the most popular online influencers focus on other false or misleading messages like “Climate solutions don’t work,” “Climate change has some benefits,” and pollution reduction policies are “tools for governments to control people.”...
...Of the 10 most popular online shows, eight have spread false or misleading information about climate change, a Yale Climate Connections analysis found. That analysis builds on recent work by........ Media Matters for America, a journalism watchdog organization.
.
... , which found that right-leaning influencers now dominate digital media like podcasts and streams.

Influencers Jordan Peterson and Charlie Kirk also presented those concerned about climate change as adherents of a “pseudo-religion.”
Nevertheless, many online personalities, including Joe Rogan, Ben Shapiro, and Russell Brand, have platformed Danish political scientist, author, and climate denier Bjørn Lomborg. Climate scientists have pleaded with Lomborg to stop misrepresenting and misinterpreting their science.
Kirk said, “Climate change is the wrapper around Marxism. You have Marxism at its core and you have climate change on the exterior. Climate change activism, environmentalism, pseudo-paganism – we call it a Trojan horse.”
‘New denial’ is gaining momentum
Like Kirk, some influencers lean into the idea that climate change is a conspiracy by governments to control their residents. That’s similar to conspiracy theorizing about efforts by governments to reduce illness and death from COVID-19, Tortoise Media, a British news website, noted recently. “Climate-sceptic narratives have merged with Covid-sceptic ones, and some of the personalities are the same,” the site reported.
The site’s analysis, titled “Hot Air,” looked at individual accounts on Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and news or blog sites that frequently spread climate misinformation.
Just trying to get advertisers to pull ads from these sites is all
Yale can go F itself!
Show me ONE solution to global warming that reduces government power and increases individual liberty.
I’ll wait.
LOL Yale LOL
I’ve been disputing the scam with anyone who would listen since the 1990’s. Having secured my requisite university science credits in Geology and Astronomy helped a lot.
“Misinformation” is when you say anything the left does not like.
I was pleased when one of my nephews asked my opinion on this subject since I had never shared my views with any relatives.
I just asked him one simple question—
What was the climate like a million years ago?
He laughed and said “I have no clue.”
Then I said “How do we know what changed?”
He laughed again and said “Yeah I get it.”
This story is misinformation.
Today is “Earth Day”.
I guess without all the NSAID funding, the left and climate cultists didn’t have the money to make a big deal out of it.
Nothing new there.... climate cultist like the rest of the left are raving lunatics whose sole existence runs on their emotions vice common sense of which they have none.
Lomborg a “climate denier?” That’s a new one to me.
The climate has been changing since the earth began. Ot was designed to compensate. Don’t screw with it. If you feel you can FIX the climate, I have some prime waterfront property for sale in the Mohave in California.
Misinformation??
pre 1985 we were going full speed in to an extinction level ICE AGE.
post 1985, well it started with out of control globhal warming but when the planet refused to warm it became CLimate Change.
Which one is real??
it’s a trick question
