"We're going to give them a stipend, we're going to give them some money and a plane ticket, and then we're going to work with them if they're good," Trump told Fox Noticias' Rachel Campos-Duffy.
"We're going to work with them to get them back as quickly as we can." While Trump said details are still being planned for the program, he wants to make it "comfortable" for people. "We want our great people to stay," he said.

No tats would be my first rule.........
Yep. The whole Trump deportation act is a scam. He’s nothing different than the Bush/Romney/McCain “comprehensive” immigration reform pushers. Remember back when they were going to make illegals fly home so they could fly back magically “legalized”?
So the poor American schlubs who had their economic situation kicked out from under them over the past 40 years with the massive import of cheap, mostly illegal, labor are now gonna pay for even more of what has already buried them?
If “MAGA” doesn’t scream from the rafters on this, we’re screwed. Bring on the Chinese overlords, our country is done.
We need 10s of millions to go out, no more coming in!
I hope not but looking true.
The very good ones can stay and work, like us, in my opinion. They don’t need our money, they can earn their own.
what a letdown this is... I just asked yesterday why they are letting themselves be cornered by the media by continually referring to deportees as gang related. And stated the resistance to deporting will quadruple when questioned about deporting “the good illegals”. and now this...
i’m not liking the new text on the writing on the wall peeps!!
I voted 3 times for Trump to get rid of the illegals. Millions upon millions of them. We are currently deporting 600 people a day, and the judges are trying their best to block even that. I have stopped looking at my retirement account that is tied to the stock market. That Gooden Age better get here quick or we are going to be running around naked, looking for gasoline like in Mad Max. Where is my top hat?
Leaving the country and returning with approved documents is practiced all over the world. I moved to Switzerland in 2008 with my family coming over a few months later after the kids finished their school year. The company had taken care of all my paperwork so I entered with a visa authorizing me to work. My family entered under tourist visas as the paperwork was still in process. When finally approved a few months later we had to leave and get new visas for the family from outside the country to return with legally. It was a pain but we drove to Milan and had a nice short vacation in Italy.
Legal, vetted, skilled immigrants. Immigrants who look at the USA as the land of opportunity, not the land of the handout and certainly not a dumping ground for criminals. Immigrants who have been tested to ensure they don't have TB or other communicable diseases. Immigrants who want to assimilate into our society, not change to that of where they came from.
We do need to streamline our immigration system to ensure immigrants meet these criteria, yet make the process more efficient.
How about conservatives who might want bail out of Europe, South Africa, Australia, etc.?
Guys, it takes a couple of decades to grow taxpayers.
We aren’t growing enough of them here.
Why would anyone object to allowing folks who want to come here to become Americans, who value our Constitution, our ideals, who want to learn our language, work hard...
My husband’s mom’s family came through Ellis Island.
Within a few months all the menfolk had work.
During WWII, the military aged men enlisted and a lot of the ladies went to work outside the home.
The family had all learned to speak fluent English within one generation.
We need people like that.
They earn their own money by bringing down the low-skill labor market overall. They need to go/stay home!
“We want our great people to stay,” he said.

Great = conservative
If he is doing what I believe he is doing, he is going to qualify those who are family oriented, hard working, conservative (probably catholic as many are from central and south america), and likely would lean republican.
...and watch what happens if they do. Democrats will turn hypocrite and object to the ‘descrimination’ that Trump is just calling ‘great people’.
The reason democrats will do this is because they had already fully weaponized “immigration”. They encouraged (and through NGOs facilitated) single immigrants, not families, often young adult males, and often not of good character. All this because they wanted both social chaos and crime, but also because they expected these people to be democrats.
/conspiracy
We’ve got more than enough “workers” for our supposed upcoming robot/AI future. Taxation should not be a Ponzi scheme.
We don’t need yet more low-skill bodies here. Already, we’re down to an average 2-digit IQ.
You’re lying to yourself.
We need them out. If they are here illegally, they’ve got to go.
I never said low skilled.
You did.
I’m all for a reverse brain drain.
How about you?
You’re not alone. That campaign position is more popular with American voters than Trump himself is.
This is a MASSIVE BETRAYAL.
We neeed to give our own people stipends ( tax breaks etc. ) to have kids. Like you say, let’s grow our own people. No need to bring in millions of Aztec Indians or Chinamen to go into our wildly successful “melting pot.”
Trump’s not talking about bringing in geniuses.
