Massive Dem Fundraiser Already Caught in Alleged Money Laundering Hit with Potential Terror-Financing Investigation as Scrutiny Intensifies

In a humiliating moment for the left, the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue is facing a possible investigation under suspicion that the massive source of funding for blue candidates has provided financial support to terror-linked organizations.

For context, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) wrote a letter to the U.S. Treasury Department on March 10, 2025, in which he addressed Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, asking him to investigate ActBlue, alleging that the online progressive platform, which is already under scrutiny for alleged money laundering, had knowingly facilitated payments that may have contributed to the enabling of terrorism.

In his letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Rep. Issa explained the rationale for his concerns about ActBlue, telling Secretary Bessent, “Terror financing is an extremely serious crime, and organizations cannot be given a free pass for failed due diligence, or worse, the enabling of terrorism.”

Continuing, Rep. Issa gave several detailed examples of cases of potential funding of terrorism by ActBlue, quoting Washington Examiner journalist Gabe Kaminsky, who wrote: ““ActBlue’s charity platform has facilitated payments since at least 2021 for the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, a founding member of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions National Committee that is affiliated with entities designated by the United States as terrorist groups.”

In addition, Rep. Issa clarified that ActBlue’s connections to terrorist-adjacent groups have been known for years, writing, “It must be noted that the relationship between ActBlue Charities and the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) was first exposed and brought to ActBlue Charities’ attention in 2021. Nevertheless, ActBlue Charities continued to provide their services until 2023.”

Moving forward, the representative told Treasury Secretary Bessent that he believed that there was inherent corruption present within ActBlue’s vetting process, writing, “Neither ActBlue Charities – nor its parent organization ActBlue – have any reliable process to vet users of their platforms for links to terrorism, simply ignore their obligations under the law, and are actively abetting this collaboration,”

Near the end of his letter, Rep. Issa described ActBlue’s work as “terror financing” and drove his point home by acknowledging what ActBlue’s partnership with the Palestinian Campaign could imply in terms of antisemitism, writing, “The flagrant inability of progressive groups to address the appearance of skirting a full range of our laws – or call out the evils of Hamas and the BDS movement – calls into question if the activities and coalition building of ActBlue and ActBlue Charities are in reality part of a wider commitment to financing and facilitating attacks on Israel and Jewish people in America and around the globe.”

Rep. Issa’s letter to the Treasury Department was a follow-up to an initial correspondence from September 2023, in which the representative reportedly asked the Biden Administration to investigate the Democratic fundraising platform. However, Rep. Issa received no response from the Biden-Harris Administration.

I know they want to speak legalize by saying they aren’t doing their due diligence in not making sure they aren’t financing terrorism, but everyone knows that these aren’t mistakes nor are they mere negligence.

They were “hit with” a letter to the government? It’s a good letter but “hit” should be reserved for charges. Let’s see if they ever come.
