Trump appoints Fox News host Mark Levin and others to lead ‘revamped’ Homeland Security Advisory Council

President Trump has appointed Fox News host Mark Levin and a host of others to lead his “revamped” Homeland Security Advisory Council.

“I am proud to announce the formation of my revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council [HSAC], which is comprised of Top Experts in their field, who are highly respected by their peers,” Trump said in a Truth Social post Thursday.

Levin, who is the host of Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin”, will be joined by ex-NYPD detective Bo Dietl, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and Florida state Sen. Joseph Gruters.

“It is a big honor to serve on HSAC, and I know the new Members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will do an incredible job,” Trump continued.

The Homeland Security Advisory Council is an advisory body only.

Why then appoint a radio personality to such a position when he can and already does advise through his radio and television programs?

Well, the first answer is that it gives Levin credibility in revealing his advice (read support) for the president's policies to his sizable audience.

Levin cannot be mentioned without acknowledging his very pro Israel stance and his stated belief that Iran should be bombed to prevent them getting the bomb. It is not beyond reason to suspect that Levin is being brought on board to add credibility while he justifies a strike against Iran, if necessary.

Levin would be handy to have to attack those who might point out the inconsistency in the policy of failing to support Ukraine while perhaps supporting Israel, even to the point of kinetic war. Levin himself will not be bothered by any such inconsistency and he is matchless in the cut and thrust of debate.

Levin is good at criticizing from the sidelines. Let’s see if he can cooperate and assist with governance. I’m not saying he can’t. But his shtick always has been ranting and criticizing.

Love him or hate him, but don't try to debate him.

He is the best I've seen from these TV lawyers {BTW, I hate ALL lawyers} but Levin is a step above the rest.

FNC seems to have a load of lawyers as talking heads, some are the "pretty women" some are ex-congress critters but the one that drives me nuts is Ted Williams and I know he is highly regarded, but his version of English leaves me cold, and I hate him too.
