CNN’s Scott Jennings was having none of the hand-wringing on Monday’s panel discussion over the Trump administration’s handling of the deportation of MS-13 gang member Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia — the latest cause célèbre of the radical left. While the liberals on the panel tiptoed around legal technicalities and rhetorical posturing, Jennings delivered a blunt reality check that left the rest of the table scrambling.
Anchor Abby Phillip tried to tee up criticism of Trump by focusing on “the optics” of sending “Americans” to El Salvador — even though Abrego Garcia is an illegal immigrant. But Jennings wasn’t distracted. “Yes. He said they were studying the laws. I mean, there wasn’t any definitive statement,” he clarified, before cutting right to the core of the debate: “I think you guys need to understand, for the Trump administration, there’s no version of this man’s life that ends up with him living in the United States.”
Jennings laid out the Trump administration’s reasoning without flinching: “He’s an illegal alien from El Salvador who came to the country illegally, who has a deportation order, who, in their view and in the view of some immigration courts, has an affiliation with MS-13.”
Phillip tried to interject by claiming that Garcia’s affiliation with MS-13 isn't definitive because Abrego Garcia “strongly disputes in court.”
Well, I guess that settles it, right?
“I’m telling you that their view of it is that… it’s an El Salvador citizen who was sent back to El Salvador, who was in the country illegally,” Jennings reiterated. “According to some people in his long process… he has an existing deportation order, [and they] believe he has an affiliation with MS-13.”
Then Jennings repeated his knockout point: “There’s no version of this man’s life where he comes back.”

Trump is right. The people of CNN do passionately hate America. Over the past twenty years almost every day they celebrate anyone and anything that in the final analysis is destructive to the American nation and the American people.
Actually, they hate Trump. Then, by proxy, America.
No one has the guts to go nose to nose and state directly that, “MS13 people kill people. They butcher women’s breasts and hack up little babies with machetes!” Instead we tiptoe through the tulips.
They would hate anything Trump comes up with, even to their on detriment, just because, well...Trump.
“even though Abrego Garcia is an illegal immigrant...” whom is a citizen of El Salvador.
bukele settled the issue yesterday
but let the left continue to defend terrorists
CNN hates America and wants murderers and rapists to rule the streets.
Trump should have the el Salvadorian Pres have HIS Courts demand that Pelosi and Jeffries must be brought TO el Salvadore to be held in HIS jail til HIS CITIZEN is returned. How abt THAT Nancy? THAT would be funny.
The Democrats are trying to say one has to be convicted of being a gang member in a court of law to actually be a gang member.
We have to remember this is the same party that feels 'squatters' who illeglly move into someone's home when they're on vacation have 'rights'. They don't. If illegals don't want to deal with this they can pack up and go home on their own. They figured how how to get here - they can figure out how to go back home.
He has a deportation order! FULL STOP!
Regardless of whether he is/was a gang member or came here legally on a VISA, is a student, a catholic priest or a dishwasher in a Mexican restaurant. His deportation order MANDATES that he be physically removed from USA soil. End of story. /spit
Well, there’s the fact that he wasn’t merely deported. He was sent to a maximum security prison with no trial or sentence or any idea how or when he will ever get out.
“There’s no version of this man’s life where he comes back.”
Not an MS-13 gang member? One argument his attorneys made over a week ago was that in the El Salvador prison he would be at risk of assassination by members of a rival gang. That implies he is indeed a gang member. Should be case closed.
El Salvador knows how to handle El Salvadorans in El Salvador. you could sponsor him.
You don’t ever get released from CECOT, it is a life sentence according to the President of El Salvador.
Perhaps, I say.
Not our problem...
