Saudi Arabia's foreign minister arrived in the United States on Tuesday (Apr 8) for an official visit aimed at planning US President Donald Trump's expected trip to the kingdom later this spring, a source close to the Saudi royal court told Reuters.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud will also discuss Gaza and the status of Yemen's Houthis during meetings with US government officials, the source said.

The trip was scheduled before last week's US tariffs announcement, the source added. Trump's tariff offensive has rattled markets and raised fears of a global recession that could drive down the price of oil, Saudi Arabia's main export. An official source confirmed Prince Faisal's arrival in Washington but did not give further details.

Driving down the price of oil would boom the worldwide economy in my view. Drill baby drill!

From a very sure basis both in the temporal material sense and from the truly much more significant spiritual sense, I do not belive that we as a nation should be cuddling up to the people of Arabia or any other culture founded on heathenish beliefs.

What I am reading here on FR is that we are inviting them to make huge investments of their wealth in operations fundamental to the economy of our country. having them buy our goods and intellectual services is one thing permissible to keep our own resources and sovereignty.

Forking over ownership of property and the allegiance of our citizens should never be permitted, and Trump's company of supporters should not allow Saudi Arabia to have an integral role in the conduct of our businesses or our government, inasmuch as their ways are not our ways, nor their ideals the ones on which this country was founded.

“heathenish” — generally the term ‘heathen’ was used for those who weren’t Jewish, Christian or Mohammedan.

I agree with your sentiments that we should NOT be inviting the evil Sauds

To me, "heathen" means a religion whose god is not the God of the Bible. Any Muslim who tells me that his god is the same as mine, I just tell him,

"Allah has no Son."

With that point made, the conversation ends right there.

On 9/11, the princes immediately packed up and went home. A continuation of our first war as a new nation, one that has never ended. Tripoli.
