Colleges Around US Say Some Intl. Students' Visas Are Being Revoked [Beware AP Propaganda]

Colleges around the country are reporting some of their international students' visas are being revoked unexpectedly, expressing alarm over what appears to be a new level of government scrutiny.

Visas can be canceled for a number of reasons, but college leaders say the government has been quietly terminating students' legal residency status with little notice to students or schools. That marks a shift from past practice and leaves students vulnerable to detention and deportation.

The list of colleges that have discovered students have had their legal status terminated includes Harvard, Stanford, Michigan, UCLA and Ohio State University.

The Trump administration has targeted students who had been involved with pro-Palestinian activism or speech, with a few high-profile detentions of students including Mahmoud Khalil, a green card holder who was a leader of protests at Columbia University.

But more schools are seeing visas stripped from students with no known connection to protests. In some cases, past infractions such as traffic violations have been cited. Some colleges say the reasons remain unclear to them — and they are seeking answers.

"What you're seeing happening with international students is really a piece of the much greater scrutiny that the Trump administration is bringing to bear on immigrants of all different categories," said Michelle Mittelstadt, director of public affairs at the Migration Policy Institute.

Many college officials and students have only found out about the changes when they have checked a federal database and seen changes to an individual's immigration status.

Students in other countries must meet a series of requirements to obtain a student visa, usually an F-1. After gaining admission to a school in the U.S., students go through an application and interview process at a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad.

Per Sarah Adams, the majority of the ISIS terrorists came under legal means like student visas.

Trump needs to find out who the hell is issuing visas to them and fire that idiot. We don’t need those pieces of meat with two eyes bringing their wars and Euro and Muzzie Crap to the U.S.

Access to a US college education is a privledge not a right. You can always take online courses as they forced our students to do not that many years ago.

The whole Palestinian Movement of International Studenst in the uSA was begun by Hillery CLinton and Barrack Obama in the years before Arab Spring.

Fulbright Scholarships were handed out to Palestinian radicals like bubblegum wrappers.

The State department back then funded programs at various universities that trained these “international students” how to organize flash mobs using their cell phones and various internet platforms back in their home countries and here in the United States. They were used as cannon fodder by Obama during Arab Spring in Egypt and elsewhere in conjunction with the Muslim Brotherhood.

These jihadist cultivation educational programs continued up until Trump took office.Marco Rubio is sending visa violators home now, those who do not exercise the good conduct necessary to maintain their educational visas here.

Alahwahoo WHackbar........send these antisemitic Jew Haters home. Good riddance !

If the Trump administration really wants the spank the universities and get them to drop their stupid DEI, commy indoctrination and pro terrorists support this is all the leverage he needs.

Cut off their access to foreign (full paying students) they will beg for mercy and get back to supporting America.

Quietly send a boatload back. Word will get around. Behaviors will change.

There are a whole bunch of reasons besides Orange Man Bad.

F-1 Visa Validity:
The F-1 visa itself is usually valid for up to 5 years, but this is not the same as your authorized stay in the US.

Duration of Status (D/S):
The “D/S” on your I-94 form (Arrival/Departure Record) indicates that you are authorized to stay in the US for the duration of your program of study, including any authorized OPT periods, as long as you maintain your F-1 status.

I-20 and Program End Date:
Your I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status) specifies your program’s start and end dates, which are crucial for determining your authorized stay.

OPT:
Optional Practical Training (OPT) allows students to work in the US for a period after graduation, which can be factored into your overall authorized stay.

Maintaining Status:
To maintain your F-1 status, you must continue to be a full-time, in-person student at a SEVP-certified school and follow all immigration regulations.

Grace Period:
After completing your program, you have a grace period (typically 60 days for F-1 students) to leave the US.

Visa Expiration vs. Stay:
The F-1 visa expiration date is different from the date you are authorized to stay in the US. You can stay in the US as long as you maintain your F-1 status, even if your visa expires.

Travel and Re-entry:
If you travel outside the US, you will need a valid (unexpired) F-1 visa to re-enter the US to resume your F-1 status stay.
*********

I wonder how many complied fully with the in- person requirement during the past 5 years.

You can bet the UK Gestapo would be revoking US student visas if they were advocating for Russia over Starmer’s Fascists.
