UK PM Keir Starmer set to admit globalisation has failed amid Trump’s trade war

The UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is all set to declare an end to globalisation and acknowledge that the concept of globalisation has failed millions of voters amid US President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariff announcement, The Times reported.

Since US President Trump announced sweeping reciprocal tariffs on its global trade partners on goods importing to America, UK PM Starmer would address the country for the first time on Monday and is reportedly bound to say that seismic economic effects prove the government must “move further and faster” to improve the supply reforms.

Later in the week, UK PM Starmer and Chancellor Rachel Reeves are set to announce pro-growth data, which could include relaxing the regulations for electric vehicle manufacturers and briefing government’s strategy on industrial strategy.

I understand the ‘why’ of President Trump’s process, but the way the whole of the world is reacting like a temperamental child is astounding. But then, it is exactly how people react when their use of someone else’s money runs out and the debts come due.

Yes, we have our own debts. But many of these other countries are indebted to us too.
