New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) signed new controls into law last week, including one that allows credit cards to track ammunition purchases.
She described the ammunition control as one that “[refines] how credit card companies track purchases at gun dealerships.”
Hochul noted, “This gives law enforcement the opportunity to find out exactly who may be stockpiling ammunition. And this is an indicator that something untoward could be happening, so it’s an important data point for us to have.”

Yet another reason to not live in New York.
Government approved Invasion of Privacy
Dizzy broad never heard of currency. ROTFL! She should be home baking cookies or making **** Musk or **** Trump potholders to sell to the “Touch This” Gyorgy Soros’ Geezer actor troupe.
Some people say, “Cash is King!”
I always buy ammo with cash for this very reason.
I’m going to start buying my guns with cash too.
How is 10,000 rounds of 22 long rifle match ammunition a threat to anything? except my bank account.
Ask a Democrat
Maybe they’re just buying lots of ammo because of inflation and they think it will only be more expensive in the future. That’s entirely rational economic behavior.
Hochul and everyone who worked on that bill needs to be thrown out of the country for violating the 2nd and 4th Amendments in one shot.
No track buying sodas.
Maybe next Governor will add abortions…. Well they opened the door…..

It’s also somewhat of a presumption of guilt (i.e., we are going to track your purchases because we think you might have nefarious intentions).
Never have used a CC to buy weapons or ammo. I’m assuming others have done the same.
This beotch doesn’t know when to quit, does she?
Cash is king.
Proof that the government is trying to take over America. We’re all going to be “civil servants” be we won’t be getting paid for it.
At least for now, travel to free states is unrestricted. And, as others have noted cash is king.
I thought credit cards tracked everything you spend.
“And this is an indicator that something untoward could be happening, so it’s an important data point for us to have.”
I wonder if it’s painful to be so stupid...They don’t have any inner perspective at all...out of step, governor!
Where the hell is this super tracking ability when a mysterious charge shows up on my statement and the CC company can’t tell ME what it was for?
