Incoming… Secret Service to Reduce its Workforce by Up to 20 Percent

The US Secret Service is planning on reducing its workforce by up to 20% beginning Friday night.

DHS Chief Kristi Noem will reportedly send Secret Service personnel an email as early as Friday night or this weekend regarding the layoffs.

Some Secret Service workers will be offered early retirement or voluntary separation.

Administrative workers and personnel in their probationary period will be let go first.

Per RealClearPolitics reporter Susan Crabtree:

Despite a severe USSS special agent manpower shortage and increased protective duties during the Trump administration, Secret Service personnel are bracing for an email expected as early as Friday night this weekend from DHS Secretary Noem regarding USSS personnel layoffs, followed by notifications to those affected personnel noting the various options available. Options will include early retirement; voluntary separation; etc. The expected email is spurring rumors of a merger btwn USSS and Homeland Security Investigations, downsizing; doing away with retention bonuses aimed at increasing manpower.

Planned layoffs are thought to be between 10-20% of the workforce range. APT (administrative)᜵non-gun carriers to be let go first, followed by others within their probation period of 3 years and possibly others on a case by case basis. It’s unclear how DEI hires will be affected. The service has to submit a plan for the layoffs to DHS today. DHS could either accept it or come back and tell USSS it needs to cut more bodies for additional cost reductions.

Trump got rid of protection for most of the degenerates that were held over from the Biden Administration, so it makes sense that less will be needed.

Exactly. What was Hunter Biden doing with Secret Service protection in South Africa after Jao Bai-din left office?

From the article: ...non-gun carriers to be let go first, followed by others within their probation period of 3 years...

First fire anyone who can't walk up a sloped roof.

I worked as a clinical pharmacist for the VA for 32 years. The vast majority of professionals as in doctors, nurses, pharmacists, x ray technicians, etc. and their non professional support personnel did excellent work. A few, a very few did not. They were almost impossible to fire. The upper levels of VA administration was rife with employees that were even harder to fire and desperately needed firing.

In my ignorance I went into management for one year and hated it. I became aware of the insane funding process and lack of authority. I went back to staff by choice on the night shift which no one wanted. All the assholes were asleep and I could just be a pharmacist doing a good job for the Vets. I liked those old men and serving them. Sometimes they were difficult as hell and the nurses bore that problem. How can you dislike a man that fought in WWII, or Korea, or Vietnam. They are just old now and need our care.

Perhaps they are wising up and jettisoning the ECTF (electronic crimes task force) and the FCTF (financial crimes task force) sectors of the USSS. This branch of the USSS makes zero sense as Mr. Bongino has said on numerous occasions.

The next one I want to see go is the uniformed officer I saw in DC a few weeks ago proudly sporting a tranny flag on his uniform.

Yes, I sent a complaint email.
