Several countries have announced plans to reduce or eliminate tariffs on U.S. imports in response to President Donald Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs” policy, set to take effect on April 2, 2025.
This policy aims to match the tariffs that other nations impose on U.S. products.
The White House released a detailed chart showing how badly many countries have been ripping off American workers, charging high tariffs on U.S. goods while benefiting from America’s generosity in return.

What did they think was going to happen?
Brilliant! HOORAY Trump and team. MAGA.
never forget that every single republican before Trump thought it was ok for other countries to rip us off and steal your job and undercut your wages. All so pieces of crap like romney could make a buck off his countrymen’s misery
We are FINALLY being treated with respect and treated fairly by other nations thanks to the brilliance and courage of one of the best presidents ever, and judging by the gnashing of teeth coming from the left and from rinos, you would think that pres Trump just passed a law that you g folks must push old ladies down as the cross the street and steal candy from babies, and kick puppies
don’t forget that most of the RINOs and the Dems were getting bribes from foreign nations like china to sell out america
True, and I suspect that is exactly why paul, McConnell and ilk voted agaisnt pres Trump on tariffs
Yes, and US politicians, their toadies, and other connected parasites have been ripping off American workers even more!
One example--of many: Student loan recipients who have manipulated America workers to pay off their loans!
Another example--of many: Politicians who arrive in Washington nearly penniless and within a few years are multimillionaires.
Many other examples have been exposed by DOGE.
This is going to disturbing news for 100% of network propaganda and 90% of cable propaganda news.
Looks like todays’ news will be squirrel falls from tree.
Brilliant and hooray?
Did you even go look at the list to see if the title is true or see how much “slashed” is?
The stock market is a great indicator of reality...unless it shows what we don’t want it to.
This is only true in the long term... daily knee jerk reactions are typically nearly meaningless.
Victor D Hanson always talks about the hollowing out of the American middle class. He points out that, near his home in Selma, CA, were four large manufacturing plants and many of his high school classmates worked at those companies. All of them are gone, moved overseas. Those companies were replaced by fentanyl.
Prof. Hanson says the story is the same all over the country (he travels all over the USA and speaks to thousands of ordinary Americans). Globalism and the supposed “free trade” (which was anything but) destroyed the middle class.
President Trump is setting right four or five decades of abuse heaped on the USA.
It’s not just tariffs. Many countries place impossible non-tariff restrictions on American-made products. Some, like China, prohibit American imports.
Yes, China makes you build a manufacturing plant for your product in China. Then they build an exact copy of your plant/process right next door so that they can undercut your product with a copy that is cheaper.
Have the four rinos weighed in on this success ?
Last week Patrick Bet David (PDB Podcast) did a show on this. He showed the graphs of various US states that led in manufacturing goods. Like MI, OH, CA, NY, NJ.
All of these states led the world in manufacturing UNTIL China was admitted into the WTO in 2001.
FOUR COUNTRIES DOING THE RIGHT THING:
Israel: On Tuesday, Israel announced the cancellation of all remaining tariffs on imports from the United States. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that this move is intended to strengthen economic ties with the U.S. and lower living costs in Israel.
Vietnam: Vietnam has outlined plans to reduce tariffs on several U.S. products, including liquefied natural gas (LNG), automobiles, and ethanol. The tariff on American LNG will decrease from 5% to 2%, on cars from a range of 45%-64% to 32%, and on ethanol from 10% to 5%. These measures aim to lower Vietnam’s trade surplus with the U.S. and avoid potential U.S. tariffs.
India: India is considering cutting tariffs on over half of U.S. imports, valued at $23 billion, to protect its $66 billion in exports from impending U.S. reciprocal tariffs. Negotiations are underway, with India indicating a willingness to significantly lower or entirely remove tariffs on many U.S. goods, contingent on the U.S. providing relief from the reciprocal tariffs.
Switzerland: Swiss Economic Affairs Minister Guy Parmelin emphasized that Switzerland has eliminated industrial tariffs, allowing almost 99% of U.S. goods to enter the country duty-free. This move is part of Switzerland’s efforts to avoid tariffs imposed by the U.S. under the new policy.
The countries doing this are the ones who think they can compete.
The thought in the MSM was that all the good commie trash countries would stand firm against fascism like US tariffs.

“....But I do not want to let this discussion pass without reminding all of our ultimate purpose: the expansion of free and open markets everywhere. There are some, well-meaning in motive, who have proposed bills and programs that are purely protectionist in nature. These proposals would raise the costs of the goods and services that American consumers across the land would have to pay. They would invite retaliation by our trading partners abroad; would in turn lose jobs for those American workers in industries that would be the victims of such retaliation; would rekindle inflation; would strain international relations; and would impair the stability of the international financial and trading systems. The net result of these counterproductive proposals would not be to protect consumers or workers or farmers or businesses. In fact, just the reverse would happen. We would lose markets, we would lose jobs, and we would lose our prosperity....”
President Ronald Reagan in “Remarks at a White House Meeting with Business and Trade leaders,” September 23, 1985
