Huge Victory: Voter ID Requirements Passes in Wisconsin by Wide Margin
Gateway Pundit ^ | April 01, 2025 | Staff

Wisconsin voters have overwhelmingly approved a constitutional amendment to enshrine the state’s voter ID requirement.

The amendment passed with approximately 70% support, reflecting a broad consensus among Wisconsinites on the importance of safeguarding elections.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that on the ballot is Question 1, a critical referendum to amend the Wisconsin State Constitution to require VOTER ID — a commonsense measure backed by overwhelming majorities of Americans, yet fiercely opposed by the far Left and their media allies.

A “yes” vote on Question 1 supports adding the voter ID requirement to the Wisconsin Constitution, reinforcing the current law. A “no” vote opposes this constitutional amendment, leaving the existing statutory requirement unchanged.

According to Ballotpedia:

The amendment authorizes the Wisconsin State Legislature to pass laws to establish acceptable forms of photo identification and exceptions to the requirements. Voters who do not provide a valid form of photo identification on Election Day would be able to cast a provisional ballot and provide a valid form of photo identification at a later time in accordance with state law for the ballot to count.

Currently, Wisconsin requires voter photo identification via state law. By adding it to the state constitution, the threshold to make changes or remove the requirement would be higher than a legislative majority by requiring voter approval of another constitutional amendment to do so. State law requires the following forms of photo identification to vote:

Wisconsin driver’s license, ID card issued by a U.S. uniformed service, Wisconsin nondriver ID, U.S. passport, Certificate of naturalization issued not more than two years before the election, ID card issued by a federally recognized Indian tribe in Wisconsin, Student ID card with a signature, an issue date, and an expiration date no later than two years after the election, or Photo ID card provided by the Veteran’s Health Administration. Trump wrote on Truth Social, “WISCONSIN: There is a very important Referendum (Question 1) on the April 1st Ballot to amend the State Constitution to require VOTER ID. This, and other Election Integrity measures, including banning Drop Boxes, and Same Day Voting with Paper Ballots, can only happen if you GET OUT AND VOTE!”

In August 2021, a Marquette University Law School poll indicated that 74% of registered voters in Wisconsin favored requiring a government-issued photo ID to vote. This support varied by political affiliation: 92% of Republicans, 71% of independents, and 55% of Democrats were in favor.

Nationally, support for voter ID laws appears even higher. An October 2024 Gallup poll reported that 84% of Americans supported requiring photo identification at polling places, with 98% of Republicans, 84% of independents, and 67% of Democrats in agreement.

A mega-conservative voter ID bill passes in the same election that voted in a radical liberal SC candidate?

Here in CA every poll shows the majority hates trannies and illegals yet the wrong candidates win a lot, so yeah cheating is really the only answer

The “provisional ballot” concept is insane—and can lead to those ridiculous week long or longer delays in finalizing races—and of course cheating of various kinds.

The election should be over on election day—full stop—zero exceptions.

No it is not. It merely permits the legislature to do so.

MAGA Republicans need to form a MAGA committee to raise a lot of private funds to find Conservatives to challenge liberals running for any office across this country. TV ads flooding the airwaves and naming the liberals’ Judges and Rinos records. We have a lot of well-off people - yes- all private funds.
Large numbers of gatherings and billboard ads and even paid demonstrators, like what Democrats do all of the time.

Wisconsin women need those abortions. They may be all for election integrity, but they have to make sure that the Wisconsin Supreme Court allows them to butcher the unborn.
