Despite years of flip flopping on their own reports, National Public Radio (NPR) CEO Katherine Maher told Congressional lawmakers Wednesday — without hesitation — that the outlet is a “nonpartisan organization” free from political bias.

Maher testified before the House Oversight Subcommittee regarding NPR’s government funding, working alongside the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to address wasteful spending. When pressed by Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan on whether she believed the outlet was biased, Maher denied ever seeing political bias influence editorial decisions, insisting NPR has remained “nonpartisan.”......

1. NPR Publishes False Report About Don Jr.

In November 2018, NPR asserted that Donald Trump Jr. lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee during his September 2017 testimony about plans for a Trump Tower in Moscow, basing their claim on discrepancies with former Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s plea deal......

2. NPR Refuses To Cover Hunter Biden Laptop Story

In October 2019, NPR announced it would not cover Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop after The New York Post broke the story......

3. Seattle Area NPR Stops Airing COVID Press Conferences

After the United States went under a lockdown due to COVID-19, the outlet’s Seattle-area station decided to stop airing the first Trump administration’s coronavirus task force press briefings........

4. NPR Downplays COVID Lab Leak Theory

5. NPR Ends Up Fact-Checking Itself While Trying To Own Trump

We saw that video. The blond lies as a matter of routine. Her eyes scream lies. No hiding that.

I like the part where it was revealed they have like 70 editors who are all Democrats with 0 Republican editors. She was asked, I paraphrase, if NPR was biased...And she said straight faced, they were not.

Her entire testimony was nothing but big fat lies. It was quite pathetic.

Sometimes when driving on Saturday I tune into the NPR “comedy” show, “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me”, which is just an hour of Trump-bashing. I listen just to hear what they are up to (although their attitude never changes).

I am sure that NPR attorneys have a unique “legal” definition of the word ‘biased’.

I posted so many outrageously biased stories from NPR/PBS against Trump in the last election. I’m not exaggerating one bit saying they were outrageous.

She’s a liar. I watched her answer questions. Badly.

It was pathetic.

If bias be not shown with these examples, I wonder what would demonstrate bias in the eyes of the witness?

Doesn’t Media Research Center tabulate and record all the positive and negative news slants since the 1980s?
Stuff like “92% negative on Trump for September, 2024” and things like that?

Shamelessly denying that she read books she commented about on social media was bad enough.

I listen to MSNBC, CNN and NPR on Sirius in my truck while driving. Very enlightening to hear the bias and lies from the freaks on the left. So much anger spewing from them recently as President Trump is rapidly retaking and remaking America. I read a wide variety of information from many sources so it’s easy for me to catch their prevarications.

These NPR fools have a market. Why don't they just go private?

We can help them do that by cutting off all their funding instantly.

I guarantee you that Soros et al. will supply them startup funding.

Chairman: Thank you for your testimony Ms Maher. We will give it the consideration that we feel it is due and render a written decision within the next few days.

Maher: Thank you for listening.

Chairman: You are welcome. In the meantime this committee agrees that a prudent course of action for NPR and PBS would be to begin planning for a transition to private sector operations. This transition should have a target completion date of September 30, 2025.

Maher: But ... but you said a decision on our funding has yet to be made. That recommendation sounds like the termination of our funding is imminent.

Chairman: As I said, a written decision has yet to be rendered. Again thank you for your comments. Meeting adjourned.

... one can hope ...
