Left-wing watchdog group American Oversight filed a lawsuit against John Ratcliffe, Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard and others, claiming their use of the double encrypted app Signal violates the Presidential Records Act.
American Oversight boasts about its ‘activist litigation’ targeting Republican interests, especially the Trump Administration.
Now they’re suing Trump officials for using Signal to communicate about ‘military actions.’
It was reported on Monday that Jeffrey Goldberg, the anti-Trump editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, claimed he was accidentally added to a secure Signal group chat where top Trump administration officials discussed sensitive military operations against Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

More first term reruns.
But nobody has standing. We learned that back in 2020.
Only for Republican officers. Among Democrats, even janitors have standing.
Exactly. These morons have no standing.
Ha, ha. The left is staggering around trying to figure out and exploit an issue big enough to slow down or cripple the Trump administration. Another swing and miss.
Issue will be forgotten in a week.
Tell it to Hillary and Obama, et al.
Apparently a private server isn’t.
If every conversation has to be put into a record that can be kept and accessed, then somebody needs to sue for access to the Presidential records whereby Biden was told about each binding thing he signed and his specific approval was given for each and every auto pen signature on record.
How’s them peaches, leftists?
And the fired govt workers who had plotted to use communications other than their official means so they could secretly plot their treason - er, resistance.

OK, the watch group sues and are successful. What is the remedy? A sternly worded letter from a Hawaii judge? Fani Willis goes for an indictment?
So, the officials should get friendly judges to block the suits, applicable all across the country. Court ordered shutdown. Like the Dems keep doing to Trump and the DOGE people.
See you "watchdogs" in appeals court in maybe 7-8 months.
No standing. If Texas and 17 other states had no standing to challenge a stolen federal election, they have no standing either.
The SIGNAL pipeline encryption, is not the vulnerability.
Access to the pipeline, is.
Ha.
Once thriller author Robert Ludlum (the Bourne books and movies) was approached by a man from the British government who said “You know, you have violated the British Official Secrets Act.” He was asked to explain himself in private.
Ludlum was able to convince them his clever plot was a logical outcome of totally fictional ideas he had made up.
Elements coming true in real life were not his fault.
“The Official Secrets Acts (OSAs) in the UK, particularly during the 1970s and 1980s, aimed to protect state secrets and prevent espionage, with key Acts being the 1911, 1920, 1939, and 1989 versions. The 1989 Act, in particular, replaced a “catch-all” section and focused on specific categories of information, including security, intelligence, and defense.”
Depends on the judge. I’ve seen at least 10 in the last couple of weeks who’d absolutely proceed. You don’t think they’d judge shop, do you?

well, if past is prologue,
they will import a ms13 from Venezuela and make him a district judge to take the action they deem legal
American Oversight: brainchild of Hillary’s henchman David Brock, populated by former Clinton and Obama staffers, led by CREW’s Melanie Sloan and Brock’s associate Sarah Studley of American Bridge 21st Century, ran cover for Hillary during Uranium One investigation, targeted Brett Kavanaugh, assisted vote fraudster Robin Vos, etc.
