The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has launched an unprecedented cleanup operation targeting jaw-dropping irregularities in the U.S. Social Security database.
Over 7 million supposed numberholders aged 120 and older have now been officially marked as deceased.
The official DOGE X account announced:

Oh those poor people!
HOW WILL PAY THEIR BILLS!
/S
Seven MILLION? I could see 700K as a HIGH number...but SEVEN MILLION? That will be BILLIONS in savings per year if they are all “collecting” checks.
I was kind of disappointed when this first came out and it was implied that they were all still getting SS benefits.
Now no news of that.
Where ANY of those people still getting benefits?
I doubt very many were getting checks, although some may have been (fraud - will be prosecuted). I think this data mostly skewed the actuary tables.
“””Where ANY of those people still getting benefits?”””
All the illegals who are using these numbers are doing fine.
Being on the SS rolls doesn’t necessarily mean a check was being sent. If one was sent or direct deposited, who was using the money?
Since ID.ME appears to be a private corporation, I wonder who is making money by charging the feds to hold my refund hostage. Hope it's not some annuity program for The Big Guy.
“listed age 120+”
120+........think about that for a minute.
Here’s an intetesting article on that subject...

Note the highly unprofessional snark.
And the weasel wordage.
BTW, per Elon Musk, still around 5 million to go.
The left can’t comprehend that these are illegally gotten SS numbers being used by illegals.
I wonder how many were still voting.
More importantly, this likely clears up voter fraud as well.
Even if the number is a “relatively low” percentage, it’s not good to have millions of inaccurate SSA numbers around.
Could they be used for fraudulent purposes, like voting, or general ID?
If I were an NGO dedicated to establishing illegals in the country, I think I could put a list of several million Social Security numbers to good use.
It would be easy to write a query that shows which of them, if any, are receiving payments.
So easy that I don’t believe it hasn’t already been done.
How many are just folks that, by no fault of their own, were caught up in the SSA own computer programming mess and assigned that ridiculous birth year?
really makes me wonder how many ssns in the normal age range are fraudulent.
I recently had to have a pic taken at the doc’s office in order to verify my ID.
I paid for that, BTW.
And I’m supposed to have a cow about Fedzilla verifying ny ID before handing me over someone else’s money?
Says a lot about the people objecting to that, doesn’t it...
Wating for a Judge to overturn this in 5...4...3...2...1
The article I read stated that SS was used as a master list for other systems or departments like Housing. They would query SS to verify the person and if they were marked alive and if they were, Housing would OK the inquiry. The fraud was occurring in other systems.
