NEW YORK, March 22. /TASS/. US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff has said that he delivered Donald Trump’s portrait commissioned by Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the US president.
Witkoff said in an interview with US journalist Tucker Carlson that the two leaders had sent signals to each other of their readiness for dialogue. "President Putin, to his credit, sent all kinds of signals back to the [US] president that this is the path that he wanted to be on, including statements that he made in the second visit that I had," the US envoy remarked.
"You know, it got personal. The president, President Putin, had commissioned a beautiful portrait of President Trump from the leading Russian artist, and actually gave it to me and asked me to take it home to President Trump, which I brought home and delivered to him," Witkoff noted. According to him, Trump "was clearly touched by it."
According to Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Putin received Witkoff on March 13. However, the Kremlin spokesman did not disclose the details of their conversation. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had said on March 12 that the US envoy would travel to Moscow to discuss ways to resolve the Ukraine conflict.

The Ruskies are not dumb. They know that if China takes out the US that they are toast. They have too much land mass to defend. Now this is assuming a war with China does not go nuclear. Even if it does go nuclear, Russia is still toast, along with the rest of the world.
