OMAHA, Neb. — Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced "justice will finally be served for Sarah Root."
Rubio said on Friday that the Trump administration announced the extradition of Root's alleged killer from Honduras to the U.S.
On Jan. 31, 2016, Root was killed in a crash near 33rd and L streets.
Police believe Eswin Mejia was driving drunk and street racing when he hit Sarah's car at a stoplight.
Mejia, who was in the country illegally, was not put on an immigration hold. He posted $5,000 of his bond and vanished.

The prosecutor didn’t insist on a high bond & they treated him like he was a citizen. What’s worse, he was underage, drinking at a bar who accidentally deleted their security tapes after the incident became known.
Any crimes involving illegal aliens that occurred in Nebraska, the bails immediately went into the millions. Sen. Grassley’s office said they had never seen a DUI end up on ICE’s Top Ten list but it was because of the political pressure generated by Trump.

There is a profound rot in the system. An illegal alien accused of a capital crime is a flight risk and never allowed to post bail.
If she were my sister or something like that, whoever let this guy out would be dead, that’s just all there is to it.
Until Trump was elected, I was thinking of starting a school to teach people how to impersonate an illegal alien, so they too can get those generous tax paid benefits, food, cash, aid, rent, medical services and other assorted gifts and prizes.
I hope, after his conviction, he’ll be sent to El Salvador for a stint in Bukele’s Hilton.

It was probably $50,000. You pay a bondsman 10% of the bail, which is nonrefundable. When he jumped bail he owed the bondsman $45,000. It's why bondsman hunt bail jumpers down.
I’ll rephrase..... Why would an ILLEGAL who KILLED an American be given bail at all?
I don’t recall the specifics, but Nebraska doesn’t use bailsmen. I believe its the state. Only certain states use bail bondsman like Colorado, Hawaii etc.
