Already been done in Germany, as the neo-fascists pursue parents across borders "to teach them" a lesson.
As Mussolini taught, everything in the state and nothing outside the state. Especially children!
You really want to talk about who should be jailed? Hmmm?
Illinois has 930 schools where only one in ten children can do math at grade level ..

Since there is a penalty involved, this flies in the face of the 5th Amendment.
Just
Don’t
Comply
“””one in ten children can do math at grade level””
Only 21% can do math???
Pound sand you goose-stepping assclowns.
NOT The Bee ping!!
The local county school system allowed my friend’s boy who had been attacked and beaten by a gang of blacks to attend online. He graduated 18 months early with honors. I don’t know the details, but it wasn’t apparently a problem.
He was extremely undersized for his age and had RED hair. I ran into him the other day. Six-two and filling out nicely. He is the youngest licensed electrician his company has ever had and is running their largest crew.
prog educrat grifters must keep the gravy-train running, even if it means going full fascist.
“War and Peace”, gene splicing, and calculus are not fit subject material for 8th graders. Off to jail for you!
My former neighbor Sylvia had to help her grandchildren with their lessons during the Covid scare.
She was not pleased to have been put in that situation.
Bolsheviks
Who were the bolsheviks?
It should be remembered that many parents are not fit to homeschool.
Making the public schools fit for purpose is important.
This is particularly egregious and hypocritical from a school systen whose schools are failing to educate.
“Only 16 percent of black eighth-graders in Illinois are proficient at reading”
I remember seeing a sign in SW DC listing the books a (black) high school student was expected to read in the 1960s. It was quite an impressive list.
So do these parents teaching these kids get sent to jail? No.
I am so happy to have got out of Illinois in 1998 after spending 37 years there. Although I can say I enjoyed my time in Chicago burbs there. Made excellent living, and Chicagoland had amazing restaurants, golf courses, museums, and ski clubs. I belonged to 3 different ski clubs which was so much fun times and met my wife on one of the clubs.
“This is particularly egregious and hypocritical from a school systen whose schools are failing to educate.”
The probable purpose is to make the scores of the now obviously awful schools rise by coercing homeschooling parents to send their competent kids to the schools.
America’s education standards have been driven into the dirt by public schools, which were introduced by the Progressivist movement. We don’t need these schools anymore—we owe our children better.
