CV NEWS FEED // The FBI, now under the leadership of director Kash Patel, has provided Congress with critical documents related to allegations that federal law enforcement was weaponized for political purposes during the Biden administration.
The records were delivered following a subpoena issued by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, who has been investigating what he describes as “the weaponization of federal law enforcement against the American people,” according to a March 18 report from Just the News.
Among the documents turned over were internal records related to former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s controversial 2021 directive instructing the FBI to investigate parents at school board meetings. The memo had sparked national outcry and concern that the federal government was treating concerned parents as potential threats for speaking out about their children’s education.
The FBI also provided materials regarding Richmond, Virginia, FBI field office’s now-retracted intelligence memo that linked so-called “radical-traditionalist Catholics” to violent extremism. The document raised alarms about potential government surveillance of religious communities.
Jordan and other lawmakers have pushed for answers to why federal law enforcement singled out faithful Catholics for scrutiny. The FBI later admitted that the memo did not “meet the exacting standards of the FBI” and removed it from circulation.
Another major focus of the document release is the enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, under which the Biden administration’s Justice Department disproportionately targeted pro-life activists while failing to pursue violent attacks on churches and pregnancy resource centers.
The FBI disclosed that it had launched 55 FACE Act investigations since May 2022. A significant number related to pregnancy centers and pro-life groups — organizations that were frequently vandalized following the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
According to Just the News, Jordan has sought these materials for years, but his efforts were met with resistance under former FBI Director Christopher Wray.
FBI spokesman Ben Williamson told Just the News that the FBI under Patel “was given a mandate to open up the books and engage in transparency efforts at levels never before seen – and our Congressional Affairs team is stepping up to the plate. We will continue to work diligently with Chairman Jordan and Chairman [Chuck] Grassley to ensure the American people get the information they deserve.”
In a February letter to Patel, Jordan had emphasized the need to rebuild trust in federal law enforcement, stating, “It is important that you succeed in restoring public confidence and creating much-needed transparency.”
In a statement to Just the News, Jordan’s spokesman, Russell Dye, expressed gratitude for Patel’s efforts and said they would possess more updates soon.
Excellent.
Ooooooh, he turned it over to Congress. Oooooh. Congress will really get to the bottom of it! -Spit-
Here is a suggestion - get the FBI to investigate the process leading to Colorado Secretary of State Jenna Griswold seeking to take then citizen Donald J. Trump off the presidential ballot. Get the communications between Griswold, the DNC and any Democrats in Washington. Methinks it stinks and that there was a large conspiracy to violate the civil rights of Citizen Trump. Griswold strikes me as a moron, so there were folks in Washington leading her by the nose in her efforts. Perhaps Mark Elias, perhaps others. What say we find out?
I need the reader’s digest version of this.
House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, is investigating
“Biden’s weaponization of federal l/e against Americans.”
Among documents received are internal records re Biden’s AG Garland’s 2021 directive:
<><>instructing Biden’s FBI to investigate parents at school board meetings.
<><>the Biden govt labeling parents “potential threats” for speaking about kids’ education.
<><>Richmond, Va, FBI’s document wrt Biden’s govt surveillance of religious communities.
Wally_Kalbacken urges we get the Trump FBI to investigate:
<><>Colorado SoS Jenna Griswold seeking to take Trump off the presidential ballot.
<><>Get communications between Griswold, the DNC and Democrats in Washington.
<><>was there a conspiracy to violate the civil rights of then-Citizen Trump?
<><>was Griswold colluding w/ Washington Democrats?
<><>Perhaps Mark Elias, perhaps other Democrats?
Who will rebuild the hundreds of documents that were probably shredded during December and January????
There are more documents we need to see about Joe Biden.
After yesterday’s News about a letter written by John Kennedy Jr. to Biden calling him a Traitor I think we should see Bidens Senate papers which are currently sealed.
Sweeping it under the rug. No arrests, so let’s hit the gym and then concentrate on decorations. Call Donny to see if we can color coordinate.
Get the pen and paper ready, a stern letter is coming.
He needs to massively gut the kgBI. No way around it.
Can anyone cite an investigation by Jim Jordan that amounted to anything?
Is there anything Patel or Bondi has done you like?
Oh boy here comes a sternly written letter
This was not a jab at either Patel or Bondi. It was a jab at the feckless Congress. What exactly do you expect Congress to do with this info? Force resignations and deny pensions? Yeah, right. Arrest them? Can’t. Public scorn? Like I said....Ooooooooh!
You think Trump is going to allow that? What are you doing to make sure that doesn’t happen?
That is the least of what she did. County Clerk Tina Peters is still rotting behind bars because of Griswald for trying to protect the voting records that Griswald and Dominion were erasing from voting machines. She was sentenced to nine years in prison for protecting the voters in Colorado.
