Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) — Kelvin Vickers, the 24-year-old man convicted of killing Rochester Police Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz, was allegedly caught on surveillance video attacking a corrections officer.
Vickers is serving a life sentencing for two separate crimes, including the July 21 shooting that killed Mazurkiewicz and wounded his partner, Officer Sino Seng.

The officers were shot while on an undercover detail investigating a double homicide that took place on North Clinton Avenue the night before, which Vickers was also convicted of.

According to the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), Vickers was housed at Coxsackie Correctional Facility in Greene County from November 2024 until he was moved Jan. 6.

Execution of convicted murderers is the only way to protect society.

Guaranteed, Hochul will use the recent strike to get rid of officers so she can close more prisons. She wants to close 5 more prisons this year, which means releasing more convicts who won't be completing their court-ordered sentences. The State can't get anybody to take the Civil Service test, and have been very short-staffed across the State, forcing uniformed staff to work 24 hours shifts, something that wasn't allowed during my 25 years working in the system.
And the worst part is, with the new laws regarding segregated confinement, there is nothing they can do to him except give him 15 days in the Special Housing Unit (SHU).
They could press outside charges, but he already has life in prison, so what does he have to lose?
