EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin Launches Largest Deregulatory Effort in U.S. History to ‘Save Coal, Bring Down Cost of Living’
Breitbart ^ | 15 Mar 2025 | OLIVIA RONDEAU

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin said it is “not a binary choice” to either protect the environment or grow the economy.

“We don’t have to just choose one,” he explained.

Joining Breitbart News Washington bureau chief Matt Boyle on the Breitbart News Saturday radio show, Zeldin went over his recent historic launch of the largest deregulatory effort in U.S. history and talked about the EPA’s sweeping deregulations to “save the coal industry” and “bring down the cost of living.”

After announcing 31 deregulations on Wednesday, including the termination of the Biden administration’s “Environmental Justice and DEI arms of the agency (EJ/DEI),” Zeldin told Boyle, “Undoubtedly, we’re going to be able to create jobs, including inside the American auto sector.”

“We will bring down the cost of living. It’s going to be easier to heat your home, to purchase a vehicle, to operate a business,” the former New York congressman said, touting President Donald Trump’s economic plan.

“A lot of Americans struggling to make ends meet want common sense back into the federal government, and we’re going to do our part at the EPA,” Zeldin continued. “So that’s why we made this announcement. It’s a lot of regulatory actions impacting the energy space. We want to make it easier for people to be able to access choice.”

You can recover rare earth minerals and uranium from coal ash.

The DOE had a study from Oak Ridge National Laboratory that found some coal has more potential energy in uranium than in the carbon.

Thank God we won this election. It was the last chance to save our energy production.

It would also be great if EPA could stop using the politically charged term "fossil fuels".

To be objective, call them hydrocarbons.

Four years may not be enough to put a permanent stake in the heart to the Global Warming Grift, but it may be a wonderful massive setback. Eight years would likely be enough to kill it for good, given sufficient hard work by a lot of people like Zeldin. And he is right, EPA can be tremendously valuable to the future of the US by rolling back extreme, unjustified regulations.

You're absolutely correct. If we stop feeding the states Climate money....and get some of these rules and laws changed to include ALL fuels...we can get back on track.

“ The world needs....c02...”

So, this is what happens when you paint yourself into a corner. The rats weren’t concerned with the CO2. They were concerned with the pollution caused by the industry. The CO2 was a good narrative because all humans understand it. If Republicans jumped on socializing mining cleaner coal and petroleum, and then negating the lefts CO2 narratives, we can design cleaner alternative energies. And it’s done with business initiatives and creativity, not subsidies and back room deals. (See Solyndra)

With the massive reduction in regulations the US economy will expand while the economies in Europe stagnate.

In a year or two the difference will be very noticeable.

I hope he make decent fuel cans available again. That crappy one you pull back fell apart and dropped pieces into my Kubota diesel tank. What a nightmare to get them out.

The CO2 was a good narrative because all humans understand it.

Actually, I don't find that most people know what CO2 is or its role in maintaining life. If you ask the average victim of today's American education system and mass media about CO2 they will likely tell you that it's a pollutant and that it will cause the demise of life on Earth. It has become a "good" narrative for the global warming/climate change scam through incessant propaganda aimed at a scientifically illiterate public.

The only fossils in the energy industry are the old fart protesters who think their lives have meaning when they protest. Piss on them.

Here’s reality on CO2 and the environment. CO2 is effectively plant food. CO2 is pumped into greenhouses! Watch:
